There's No Place Like Home

This tag was made ready for sharing on the last day of the school visit to Berlin.  It seems apt as we are flying home today and I'm sure there will be lots of stories to share about the week's experiences.  Today also marks a milestone for my blog which is nearly three years old.  I have posted once a day since returning from Berlin last year, so today marks an uninterrupted year of sharing and crafting!
I found a piece of copy paper that I had used to mop up a blending mat after some brayering and glued it to a #8 manilla tag.  Once sealed, dried and trimmed it made a perfect meadow and sky background.
I stamped the pair of geese from the stamp set by Claritystamp onto a piece of Sheena's stamping card using Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat embossed it with detail clear EP.  I used a small selection of Kuretake clean colour pens and some of the Royal Talens Ecoline pens to colour the image.  It was then sealed with Distress Glaze, fussy cut and added to the tag.
The flying geese from the same stamp set were added at the top in Jet Black archival ink.
Having carefully sealed the geese and tag using distress glaze,  I used some Faber-Castell Big Brush markers, together with my Pergamano blending pen and nib, to add shading around the geese.
Finally, some suitable sentiments from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Occasions book were added.  I don't know when or if I will be posting tomorrow, as I will probably be catching up on some much needed sleep.  Having managed one full year however, I am sure I won't be able to resist!
