Follow the Water

I am slowly using all my Clarity Club stamps and stencils from this year between sample making.  This card uses the July stamps although I didn't get round to using it before the August goodies arrived.

Music is Ageless: A Birthday Card

I have known my former music teacher since I was 12 years old.  She still runs one of the recorder groups that I attend each month and I wanted to make her a special card for her birthday.

WOYWW 795/15: Birthday Treats

Welcome to WOYWW, the blog link up of desks which was started over 15 years ago by Julia and kindly entrusted to me.

My desk this week shows three gorgeous felted pictures by Tilly Tea Dance which I treated myself to for my birthday last Thursday.  I bought the largest and smallest while out with Eva last Tuesday at the Shropshire hills Discovery Centre and the one on the right was on Twiglet's desk last week.  I made enquiries as to the price and sent off for it.
I am off out for my annual health review this morning so will do most of my visiting on my return.  I will be walking there and back - I am doing a lot more walking these days, and will be interested to find out how much weight I have lost since my last check.  My twin sister had a small stroke last week following a positive test for Covid.  Thankfully she was treated quickly and is now fully recovered from the effects but taking it easy - no 10 half marathons in 10 days as she originally planned.

Stay safe and thanks for joining in with WOYWW.

WOYWW 794/14: A Great Time

Welcome to WOYWW, the weekly blog hop/sharing of desks that's been going for over 15 years thanks to Julia and now entrusted to me.  I have plenty to share on my desk this week.

All the completed projects (bar one) that I made at the Clarity retreat last week.  I am particularly pleased with the scene created on a background of acrylic paint picked up off a brown mat.  I learnt so much and will be back again next year.
Barb and Paul kindly found time to pose for a photo at the start of day 2.
My latest #dailycollage2024 pages since the latest blog update.  I spent a happy afternoon sorting all my BOW-WOB papers and collage papers into 8"x 8" folders when I got home.  Now I just need 8 more to sort the designer papers and matching companion papers into too.  The shed isn't full yet lol.

Next week I will show you the Tilly Tea Dance goodies that I have more recently acquired.  Eva and I went to her exhibition at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre yesterday and had a fabulous time.  I couldn't resist!

Stay safe and thanks for joining in with WOYWW.

Tina's Christmas Centrepiece Stamps: Ideas and Inspiration

I thought I would bring my ideas for using some of the Tina's Christmas Centrepiece stamps together into one place as they were recently seen on TV again.  Links to each project are below each photo.

Using simple colouring for batch making(see HERE).

#dailycollage2024: August Part One

For my August #dailycollage2024 pages I am using green for the second time this year.  This is in honour of my Dad who passed away in August last year as it was his favourite colour.  Here are my pages for the beginning of the month.

WOYWW 793/13: A Retreat

Welcome to WOYWW, the weekly blog hop/sharing of desks that's been going for over 15 years thanks to Julia and now entrusted to me.

Not my usual desk as you can see as I am spending today (and yesterday) down in Kent for the annual Clarity retreats.  A packed two days spent learning lots of crafty tips and tricks, new techniques and meeting up with friends old and new.  I won't be sharing any of the projects until next week as there is an embargo on that until Saturday.  The new car was a dream to drive down here even with the usual traffic jams on the M6 around Birmingham and the M25.
Me, Deborah, Jane, Deb and Sonia
I had a group photo with other Clarity DT members who were there.
Linda, Lisa, Sue and Jazz
Linda (picker and packer extraordinaire), Sue (in charge of all things Clarity Clubs) and Jazz (designer) were taking part in the workshops but Lisa (designer) was beavering away behind the scenes in charge of refreshments and lunches.

I will miss out the latest #dailycollage2024 pages today as they will be on my blog tomorrow anyway.

Before heading back on Thursday I will be collecting an old friend of Mums from Gillingham and bringing her back for a visit.  Hopefully I will be able to visit everyone by the weekend.

Thanks for joining in with WOYWW Stay safe everyone.

Thank You Alphabet Background

Between other projects, I am enjoying slowly working my way through all the stamps and stencils that I have received as a member of the Clarity Crafts New Design Clubs.  This card uses the stencil from June this year.

Sparkle Floral Card

I had a play with my new Distress Spritz sprays combined with the June 2024 Clarity New Design Club stamps.

Spritz a little Twisted Citron and Picked Raspberry Distress Spritz sprays onto the front of a 6" x 6" white card blank.  Allow to dry.

Die cut the nested circle doodle frame-its frames from silver mirri card and set the fourth largest to one side.

Add the large floral stamp (NDC #212) to the centre in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink and heat emboss with holographic powder.

Colour the frame with a black alcohol ink marker and add it to the front of the card.

Add one of the Pinky Gray Greetings stickers to a swatch of Waimea Falls Companion paper, trim leaving a narrow border and add it to the front of the card.

To finish, colour some of the flowers and circles on the main image with pink and green Sakura Starlight pens.

WOYWW 792/12: Getting Used To Things

Welcome to the weekly desk share with friends old and new that is WOYWW: founded by Julia and kindly entrusted to me after 15 years.

I couldn't resist putting in an order to the Clarity essentials sale which ended on Monday at midnight.  The 8x8 folders are perfect for the papers and larger dies and this one is already full.

My Great Niece became a teenager!
In memory of Dad.

#3 son moved out at the weekend into his new student digs.  It only took two journeys with the new car - which is a dream to drive - with plenty of blankets and protection in the boot and the back seats down.  We would have managed in one but he wanted to take his computer chair with him.  I have made sure that his belongings are insured.  He is only a 15 minute drive away from home so not too far at all.

I ordered a boot liner and rubber mats for the car and picked them up yesterday on my way to Mum's.  I also popped in to see a friend who was too scared to come and visit me on Sunday due to the rioting.  Awful scenes in the commercial centre of Stoke (Hanley) on Saturday which prevented a dance show taking place at the Regent Theatre as they closed their doors.  So much for protesting 'for the children'.  Just an excuse for thuggery and hatred.

Hope Jan and G are better soon.  Covid is not nice - especially on your birthday!  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW - thanks for joining in.
