I went with an orange and yellow theme for this card using the Bijou Lino backgrounds with the Alliums and Teasles from Clarity Crafts.

I went with a double window to showcase these pretty coloured Poppets.

WOYWW 782: Holiday

 Welcome once again to the weekly sharing of desks WOYWW, hosted by Julia until week 780 and now myself. 

My desk shows the letter received from the British Heart Foundation acknowledging my donation following the WOYWW crop.  Thanks again to those who attended for their generosity.

We are away on holiday for #2 son's 30th birthday.  He very generously laid out for a wonderful villa in Northern Spain and we had a very early start on Saturday for the flight into Santander.  It was worth buying a swimming costume to use the pool!

As you can see, the boys, their house mate and #1 son's girlfriend are also enjoying the facilities.

This is scheduled as we are hoping to visit Bilbao today.  I will probably not be doing much visiting until our return at the weekend, although the wifi is very good at the villa so I may get round earlier.

Bright Floral Window Birthday Card

I combined one of the Floral Wall stamp sets from Clarity Crafts with the Decorative Panel Window and Door dies from Clarity Crafts to create this card.

Happy 30th Birthday

As my second son turns 30 today we are celebrating with a family holiday.  Here is the card I made for him.

Merry Christmas Cobblestone Wall

The Garden Walls and Foliage stamps from Clarity Crafts have been reimagined.  An extra set has also been added with a Christmas theme. This is the set I used to create this card.

Decorative Window Poppet Christmas Notelets

I combined the new printed colour Poppets sheets with the new Decorative Panel Window and Doors dies from Clarity Crafts to create these Christmas notelets.

Just because these are the bijou version of the linocut backgrounds and teasles stamps from Clarity Crafts doesn't mean they don't work well on a large card.

WOYWW 781: The End of An Era

Welcome to my first hosting of WOYWW and many, many thanks to Julia (and Jan) who kept this blog hop going for the first 15 years.  I am honoured that Julia has passed the baton to me hope that it can continue for many years to come.  She has walked me through adding Mister Linky so hopefully all will be plain sailing.

The raffle together with the swap and donate table raised an amazing £88.50, which I paid to the British Heart Foundation on Monday.  Thanks to everyone who came for their generosity.

These are the beautiful pots and plants that Julia bought me (and a set for Eva) for organising the crop.  I enjoyed potting them up yesterday morning.  We will be booking the same venue for the crop again next year as it was a brilliant location - with its own break out cafe area for lunch and lots of space for cake, biscuits and drinks.  Watch this space...

May #dailycollage2024 Challenge Part 1

 Incredibly enough it is already half way through May of 2024 and with it the first part of my #dailycollage2024 round up.  For this month I went with green in memory of my Dad and finished each page with one of the words stickers from Clarity Crafts.  I also used the Peppermint Infusions Collage papers in the background each time.

For my final project using the latest old is gold stamps from Clarity Crafts I used kraft card as a background for the Cherry Blossom.

WOYWW 780: Happy 15th Anniversary

Wow well done to Julia (and Jan) for keeping this weekly blog hop that is WOYWW going for 15 years.  I haven't been joining in for that long - only since August 2016.

My desk shows my #dailycollage2024 journal as I must confess that I haven't had a chance to make any ATCs.  I will have tags to swap at the crop this weekend though.

I have been interspercing Temu stckers with Tim Holtz Ephemera, Clarity collage papers and Words stickers.

Now to the crop.  We are up to 13 crafters plus a plus one as my sister-in-law Pat will be joining us.  As she introduced me to WOYWW in the first place it seemed right to invite her along. We will be getting going at 10am and will finish at 4pm to allow time for clearing up.  Eva and I will be bringing tea and coffee and I have had offers of cake as well.  I forgot to mention the sandwich shop which is across the road as well as the chippy and convenience store.  Annie is bringing raffle tickets.  Please bring something for the raffle and if you have anything to donate to the sale stall all money raised from these will be going to the British Heart Foundation.  The address is Penkhull Village Hall, Trent Valley Road, Penkhull, Stoke on Trent  ST4 5JB.

I am so looking forward to seeing you all and I know there will be many more there in spirit too.

I couldn't resist using some of the birds from the Birds and Flower Rows stamp set on this tag for the Bird challenge on Tag Tuesday. I am just getting this shared before the next prompt is announced tomorrow.

Loving Heart in Black and Gold

For my last sample using the Loving Heart stamps from Clarity Crafts I went with a classic black and gold theme.

I made full use of the alphabet which comes with the Loving Heart stamp set to create this card using pattern building.

For my second sample using the Calligraphy Girls I made use of the BOW-WOB papers again but this time to create a frame.

I finished this one layer stamped card with a frame using one of the nested square doodle frame-its frames & panels die sets.

WOYWW 779: One Week and Counting

 There is only a week to the 15th anniversary of WOWYW and the balance has been paid on the hall ready for the crop.

I have been busy making samples so can't share any art work this week.  This is my latest breakfast of choice when not at work - Greek yoghurt, blueberries, strawberries and a handful of granola.

These are my new green themed pages for May.

I finally got the car back on Friday.  Luckily Mum and sis were able to come over to Trentham Gardens on Dad's birthday and we walked round the lake and had a meal in the Gardens.  The boiler then of course decided to play up so yesterday it was a plumber to the rescue - thanks to the colleague who gave me the lifts and passed on his number.
