WOYWW 634: Starting to Relax
Welcome to the weekly joining in with WOYWW, sharing desks from all around the world, and hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground. The first week of the holidays went quickly and I am starting to relax.
Regular visitors will notice the neck fan that has appeared on my desk. The heat has been somewhat unbearable for a few hours around noon and the neck fan helps take the edge off a little.Still drawing each morning. The hashtag refers to the prompts that I found online and that I am following for this month rather than the length of time that I have been drawing each day. I have, in fact, been drawing every day since 1/12/20 as I decided to carry on when I got to the end of 2020. I shall see how I feel at the end of this year as it is not easy to come up with prompts and after a year, they tend to start repeating.
No Eva today. I have been sorting out the KS2 curriculum and should finish today. She should be popping over tomorrow, as I am rewarding myself with a crafty day before getting stuck into KS3. STay safe and Happy WOYWW. I'll pop and see everyone today or tomorrow morning.

Watercoloured Thank You Card
I love the effect of stamping in a light coloured Distress Oxide then watercolouring over the top of the image. I made this thank you card using the June 2021 Clarity New Design Club stamp offering.

WOYWW 633: Freedom
Monday was freedom day only in the sense that it is the school holidays. I know that I and many of you are continuing with the mask wearing in shops and on public transport, as well as maintaining social distancing. I know that I felt very uneasy watching the scenes at nightclubs on the news, especially as there are so many under thirties who have chosen not to get vaccinated. Anyway enough of that, you are here to visit my desk as part of the weekly link up with WOYWW, hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground.
So here it is in all its glory, getting ready for some daily drawing. I still have some of the items I used on projects yesterday when Eva came over to visit and craft. On the other side of the desk, Eva was working on Pergamano/Groovi projects as it means carrying fewer items over to the shed when she visits.
I am setting this up to post automatically so I don't have to get up too early. However, as it has been so warm, I may be up and around early anyway. Stay safe and happy WOYWW.

Downhill All the Way: Daily Drawing Update
Having passed the half way point of 2021, I am now closer to the end of my new year's resolution challenge than the start. I find that I am finding it easier to come up with ideas for prompts and also more confident in drawing my own ideas rather than using tutorials or copying images that I find online. Here is the fist half of July!
An easy one to start the month.I did follow a tutorial for this one - it was excellent (see HERE).No help needed here. It reminded me of inner tubing in Canada.Maybe we'll be able to fist bump again soon.My dad had a briefcase just like this.I realised after drawing this that the rail would just fall over lol.Very quick and easy.Drawn the morning after England made it through to the finals of Euro 2021 - only one interpretation of foam possible lol.I do enjoy a tasty pasty. Most likely to be a staycation in the UK this year.I almost drew the three lions of England as it was the final of Euro 2020, but in the long run, my craft shed is more important to me.Not even my favourite chocolate chip will get me over the disappointment of losing the final! Proud of the England team though.Always enjoy an early morning Toffee Nut Latte.Another easy response as I am a season ticket holder at Stoke City Football Club.Easy to come up with something for this prompt. The last drawing for this post - over the hump for July.Friday 16 July 2021
Grunge + Rainbow Colours
I love grunge and a selection of rainbow coloured Distress Oxides. Here I combined the colours with one of the linocut distressed backdrop stamps from Clarity to create a colourful but grungy card.

Texture Layered Stamping
I layered up some of the newest Mixed Impressions Texture stamps from Claritystamp in masculine colours to create this Good Luck card.

WOYWW 632: Last Week of the School Year
Welcome to my weekly desk share via the lovely Julia at Stamping ground as I join in with What's On Your workdesk, Wednesday? on the last Wednesday of the school year. I have no marking this week as I am using online French and German activities relating to Euro 2020 with my classes. Sad that we didn't win but encouraging resilience with the pupils.
The only thing that changes on my early morning desk is how far along I am with my daily drawings. No Eva today as she had a few loose ends to sort out at school before the end of term yesterday. At least we will have plenty of time over the holidays to get together. We had a new hall, stairs and landing fitted yeterday so getting used to changing into slippers at the front door. Happy WOYWW and stay safe everyone.
