WOYWW 743: Last Holiday Week

Well the holidays certainly sped past - back to school for an INSET day next Monday.  I must admit it is the first holiday that I have done no school work.  Will sort everything next Tuesday and upload it to the shared area in school. Luckily just some tweaking of previous resources.

My latest Temu order arrived.  I believe I now have sufficient bits and pieces for next year's collage challenge.

The daily drawings continue.  I have packed my supplies to continue as we are spending a couple of days away in North Wales.  Probably won't visit desks until the weekend as a result.  Head over to Julia at Stamping Ground for more WOYWW fun.

WOYWW 742: Remembering

Welcome to my weekly desk share with Julia at Stamping Ground and the lovely ladies at WOYWW.

My desk shows my birthday gift from Eva - just what I wanted and will enjoy a play once I have more time.  Hubby is on holiday now until September and we are having days out once I have managed a project in the shed.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes on FB yesterday.  I seem to have it set up to message only but not sure how to change the settings. A bittersweet day as it was our first without Dad.

The daily drawings continue.  There was only one response possible to Trek - Dad introduced us to the original series in the late 60s.  His funeral has been arranged for September 11th and I have made a card as we are allowed to have things put into the coffin with him.  I will blog it on the day of the funeral but here is a picture (his favourite colour was green).

Love You Dad

As I was making this card, my Dad was in hospital.  Sadly he passed away just over two weeks ago and on my sister's and my birthday I wanted to share this in his memory.

August Daily Drawings: Over Half Way

 I am over half way through August with my #dailydrawing2023 challenge to myself.  I am determined to keep going in memory of my Dad who passed away on the 6th and who always 'liked' my drawings on social media.

The prompts I am following this month.

Or rather hopefully not!

The Y8 Prom was just before the school holidays.

My Dad loved his garden.

The morning Dad died.  We had spent the previous day with him in hospital and there was a lot of this.

His father was a barber so this was an apt prompt.

How Dad used to fill the boat engine with fuel when we were younger.

He loved music and had taken up the piano again over the last year or so.

One of Dad's favourite records - we all know the words to these songs.

And they have to be with maple syrup.

I haven't worked in this for a while.

Nothing like a pile of books waiting to be read!

It was Dad who introduced me to the Original Series when I was very young.

I used one of the stamp sets from Linda Williams' Christmas Compendium to create this card within the shape of a bauble.

WOYWW 741: One Week On

 Thank you all so much for the condolences and best wishes last week.  We should know by the end of today when Dad's funeral will be held - Mum is determined not to have it next Tuesday though as that is my and my sister's birthday. 

I had the most beautiful bouquet of flowers last week from Barabara Gray and the Clarity team for me and Mum and took them over to Mums.  The lilies went into a vase in the kitchen away from the cats and the rest looked lovely on the hearth with family photos.

My desk shows the folder of projects from the Clarity workshop.  Eva brought it over on Sunday and I look forward to trying them out.

A favourite of Dad.

I am determined to keep up with the challenge of #dailydrawing2023.
