WOYWW 740: A Sad Week

Most of you will have seen on Facebook that Dad passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning.  Mum and my sister were with him at the end - he was non-responsive so they didn't call to rush the rest of us in.  We had spent the day with him and had a chance to say goodbye.

He loved his family and his cats and was able to see them via the camera in the conservatory.  He was very active up to the point he went into hospital which is a blessing.
We will all miss him a great deal.
I have been making thank you cards for us to take to the hospital as the staff on Ward 8 at Burton were fantastic.
My desk shows the heart that we all have.  Dad has one too and is holding it.
I am keeping up with my daily drawing and blogging as Dad always liked my posts even though he never posted on FB himself.
Thank you for all the good wishes we have received.  Don't forget to join Julia at Stamping Ground to join in with WOYWW.

Such a loss. Always hard to have to deal with but it sounds as if you have all come together as a family and I love the thought of the heart you all had.

I was so sorry to hear your news about your Dad Sarah. It was good to read that he did so well right up until the end, something to cherish. I think that crafting is good in these times, doing something with your hands helps when your heart is heavy.
Hugs to you all at this sad time,

I was sorry to hear about your dad Sarah and just pleased that you were able to visit him in hospital as we couldn't when my dad died in hospital during Covid. Your father was in the best place and I'm sure he appreciated your visits. Pleased thought that his illness didn't go on for too long for his sake. Take care and sending hugs, Angela x11x
