All We Have is Now

Clarity Crafts are introducing quote postcards which can be decorated in all sorts of ways - stamping, stencilling, gel plate - and can be used on cards too.  Here is my first sample using one.

WOYWW 747: Jogging Along (Not Literally)

Welcome to the weekly desk sharing with Julia and the WOYWW gang via Stamping Ground.  The weeks seem to flash past at the moment.

The desk shows some stamps from the second release of Linda William's Christmas Compendium from Clarity Crafts.  I was sent three of them to play with and have ordered a couple of the additional sets released at the same time as I couldn't resist them.

These are the samples I made for the recent shows.
I am still working on my daily drawings and have downloaded the #inktober2023 prompts ready for next month.
Monday was my turn to lead the whole school assembly as yesterday was European Day of Languages.  It seemed to go well.  Busy day though as I had a tutor group to cover too.  Hope that today is a little less crazy.  Happy WOYWW everyone.

Wish Upon A Star

The second set of stamps from Linda Williams' Christmas Compendium are as lovely as the first.  This stamp set leant itself to a gold and black colour palette.

WOYWW 746: First Proper Week Back

Wednesday has certainly rolled around quickly so it's the day to share my desk with Julia at Stamping Ground and the crew of WOYWW.

I enjoy dipping into this book so it sits near my desk if I need a break from the computer screen.
As you can see the #dailydrawing2023 is still going strong.
The play we went to see last week at the Regent in Hanley was an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's book The Ocean at the End of the Lane.  The scenery, choreography, lighting and puppetry were equally as excellent as the acting and I would highly recommend a view if it comes to a theatre near you.
This week is my first complete teaching week in school.  Monday's classes are very pleasant from my first meeting with them.  Yesterday I went over to Mum's and we spent some time sorting through Dad's clothes as we were looking for items suitable for making Memory Cats.  It would have been their 59th wedding anniversary.
Meeting after work tonight but hope to finish visiting in the morning if I don't get to you today.
Happy WOYWW everyone.

#Dailydrawing2023 Round up: Part 17

September is half way through and with it comes the bi-monthly round up of my self imposed challenge this year - a daily drawing.  Here are the prompts for this month.

As you can see the first two are similar.

I included needle and thread in each.
I thought about geological layers.
I could have gone with the chocolate bar I suppose.
Similar but not the same as my response to furrow earlier in the year.
No reason why she can't wear a tie!
Appropriate on the day before Dad's funeral as Mum and Dad were married for nearly 59 years.
We are actually more of a cat family.
