WOYWW 756: Plodding Along

Wednesday certainly comes round quickly each week and it's time to join in with Julia et al at Stamping Ground and WOYWW.

As you can see from my desk, the ducks have been multiplying over Black Friday.
As you can see some of my #dailydrawing2023 prompts have been a little more challenging than others this week.
The car has been behaving itself since all the codes were reset but I am expecting that the light will come on again sooner than later as the mornings get colder.  At least I know what to expect and do this time if it happens.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW everyone.

WOYWW 755: Poorly Car Again

Well the concert went well on Saturday - pity my car broke down on the way home again with the same problem as three weeks ago.  Luckily my brother hadn't gone past the layby I managed to get to and gave me a lift home.  I limped the car home at 35mph the following day with Hubby following behind and it went in for a diagnostic with an electrical specialist yesterday afternoon.  He cleared everything and said I would probably need a new battery and there seems to be a problem with one of the fuel injectors.  He wants me to drive it until the light comes on again so he can run a second diagnostic as he wasn't sure what was actual and what could be historic and never cleared previously. So I am back on the road for now.

My desk shows something I couldn't resist over half term. Janeway and Q in duck form!

We have had the new fascias and soffits fitted over the last couple of days.  They are coming back today to finish off the last odds and ends and it already makes a big difference even with the scaffolding still up.

A character in the Zelda game.
One of my favourite vegetables.
Busy day at work today and hoping to get the departmental action plan finished tomorrow.  Stay safe everyone and Happy WOYWW - please visit Julias at Stamping Ground for more explanation.

You're the Best: A Thank You Tag

The current prompt over on Tag Tuesday is Words/ Sentiments.  The Word Chain stamps from Clarity Crafts come in two sizes and for many occasions.  This tag could be used to accompany a thank you or congratulatory gift.

I started by adding a piece of blending mat mop up copy paper to a #8 manilla tag and trimming it to fit.
Next, I brushed Dry Weed and Golden Turmeric Artistry ink through the Clarity Leafy Swirls stencil to add some soft background detail.
'You're so kind' from mini word chains 19 & 20 was added in Peat Moss archival ink.
Followed by the smaller of the Clarity Leafy Swirls stamps in the same ink.
The same image was stamped twice more, but this time in Chrome Yellow Archival ink.

To finish,  I added the butterfly from the same stamp set in Chrome Yellow Archival ink.
I love the tone on tone effect and have plenty more inky mop up sheets to use as the base of further gift tags.

WOYWW 754: Music Making

The weekly Wednesday desk share seems to come round more and more quickly.  Don't forget to visit Julia at Stamping Ground for more WOYWW fun.

This week's desk shows the programm for last weekend's music making with the recorder group among others at Lichfield Cathedral.  I didn't make the Friday performance but spent Saturday afternoon rehearsing followed by the concert in the evening.  It is 40 years since I last played in a performance of Noye's Fludde and it was a great day.  This coming Saturday sees another concert in Lichfield, this time the U3A recorder group are being joined by a choir and we are taking half the programm each.

Some of this week's #dailydrawing2023 prompts have been challenging - I decided to add a face mask to The Scream!
I am popping over to Annie's tomorrow to pick up the wonderful memory cats and cushion that she has made.  Busy in between with work and crafting as well as the music making.  Happy WOYWW.
