WOYWW 656: Quiet Christmas

Happy WOYWW - another palindrome for LLJ to celebrate.  I hope you have all had a pleasant, safe Christmas.  We kept things small and did as we did last year and went over to our two eldest sons' place to cook Christmas dinner together (and delicious it was).

I can finally show the results of my first Tilly Teadance needle felting workshop as Mum's birthday was on Monday.  We were going to celebrate together, but Mum and Dad decided it was safe to postpone a big family get together until Dad's birthday in May, so we will have a double celebration then.  I did get a chance to video chat though and she liked her present.
This photo shows my version of Max's seagull which I also started at the workshop and finished as a Christmas gift to my sister.  Not a patch on Maxine's work but I was pleased with the result and my sister liked it which is the main thing.

I am coming to the end of my daily drawing challenge.  I may try a 5 minute journal page a day as an alternative in 2022.  I have a 4" x 4" spiral bound kraft card scrapbook and have already started gessoing pages to get ahead.  I will have to see how things go though as I am not so sure I will be able to keep this going on a daily basis and it may become a once a week project instead.  Happy WOYWW.  Stay safe everyone.

Loving Birthday Card

The new bullet journal stamp sets from Clarity can be used to make a range of cards too.  Here, I created a romantic birthday card and it just happens to be my husband's birthday today.

WOYWW 655: Merry Christmas

Welcome to the Christmas edition of my WOYWW contribution c/o Julia at Stamping Ground.  Merry Christmas to everyone - we have donated to the Air Ambulance Appeal this year instead of sending out cards.

My desk shows my samples that I made for the Clarity shows today before I posted them off but if I am cheating a little at least it makes a change from my sketchbook lol.

Talking of which, I am getting ever closer to my daily drawing challenge for 2021.  I am not sure if I will set myself a daily challenge dor 2022 yet as I am starting to repeat myself with the prompts now.
Eva popped over for a brief crafting session last week.
Hope you all have a healthy Merry Christmas - we are keeping to the same plans as last year.  Stay safe everyone and Happy WOYWW.

Daily Drawing - Latest Round Up

Less than a month to go now and I will have sucessfully completed the challenge I set myself at the start of 2021 to draw every day.  Here's the latest round up.

An easy resonse as I use these every day for work and play.
I am trying to lose weight so virtual cake is a good substitute lol.
I didn't get the perspective right with this one.
A deliberate choice not to go with the more obvious festive response.
In keeping with up and down last month.
Lava lamps fascinate me and I drawn plenty of boats this year.
I love the 3D effect this technique creates.
Definitely part of the daily routine!
For taking my lunch to work!
More rain than sun recently sadly.
Well I do play the violin.
Starting to get a festive feel.
I am trying to keep well hydrated every day.
I have three!
No self portraits lol.
Another quick and simple sketch.  Only 15 more before I have completed my challenge.

WOYWW 654: Last Teaching Day of 2021

Welcome to my last teaching day WOYWW for 2021 - we are in school on Friday but it is rewards day so I shall be supervising cinema/ice skating with the Y7 pupils.

My desk shows some assessment marking as well as the daily drawing sketchbook as I am trying to get them out of the way and marked before the holidays.  The blue stamp on the reward indicates signatures for good work or effort.  You can also see my usual school day breakfast peeking out from behind the pencil case.

My daily drawings have been getting simpler and quicker now I am on the home stretch.

I have been avoiding crowds outside school so didn't go to the footie at the weekend or the school Christmas do.  We visited my parents on Sunday and saw my brother who is now back home from 15+ years in Canada and looking for his own place.  Also finally got to meet his cat Mr Boots in person.  Looking forward to seeing them all again on Mum's birthday after Christmas as we are sticking to what we did last year on CHristmas Day itself.  Stay safe and happy WOYWW everyone. Please visit Julia at Stamping Ground if you want to know more about this weekly get together.
