WOYWW769: Wellbeing Day

Welcome to the latest desk sharing with Julia at Stamping Ground and the weekly blog get together which is WOYWW.

Last Saturday I had a full day playing the recorder on a course entitled Unbarred as none of the music had bar lines.  It involved lots of counting but was great fun and there was a great deal of cake too.  My desk shows some music I bought with the hopes of getting a staff group together for the school talent show just before Easter - watch this space.
I can't believe that March begins on Friday and therefore a change of colour scheme for my #dailycollage2024.
I am not at school today as I have taken my wellbeing day  - a new thing this year. We had theatre tickets for the Simon and Garfunkel Story at the Regent Theatre last night and I didn't want to have to get up too early this morning so booked the day off before Christmas.  Unfortunately Hubby didn't make it as he is feeling under the weather and his back is particularly painful at the moment.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Live, Laugh, Love

A Clarity New Design Club stamp from 2014 getting used today and once again I emulated one of the projects designed by Barbara Gray from the booklet which came with the stamp.

Two Floral Notelets

The Just Flowers stamps from Clarity Crafts are so pretty.  I used some of the flower heads to create this pair of notelets.

WOYWW 768: Like I've Never Been Away

Even though it was an INSET day on Monday it is like I have never been away the holidays flew by so fast.  Wednesday is here again so it is time to share my desk once more with the Julia and the gang at Stamping Ground for WOYWW.

I can't show you any actual crafting as I am busy with samples for the Clarity shows next month.  However I have been building up stocks of German games for my weekly German club including these Doppelkopf cards.  I don't think I will be playing with the students though.  I accidently ordered the old German version rather than the more familiar hearts, clubs, diamonds, spades set so will put these on the back burner.  I have bought a set of Animal playing cards where you have to build a set of four and all the names of the animals are on the cards.  I have some German top trump type cards on order too - rivers, countries and mountains.
As you can see I have a few more ephemera sets that work with my #dailycollage2024 including these lovely feathers.  I have promised myself no more purchases from Temu this year.  I am off to a meeting in Stafford this afternoon so may be tomorrow before I visit.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

New Month, New Collage Colour Scheme

So I am now half way through February with my #dailycollage2024.  My new colour scheme is red/pink having chosen to use the Clarity Hibiscus Infusions papers in the backgrounds.  As usual I have used Clarity Words stickers and Doodle die cuts as embellishments along with Tim Holtz Ephemera and other stickers.

Last day of school before half term.
I suppose this really should have been my Valentine's page.

A Nautical Card

I decided on a nautical theme for this card combining the Just Gents stamps from Clarity Crafts and the Abstract Layout 1 die.

WOYWW 767: A Restful Holiday

Half way through half term already - how time flies.  Joining in with WOYWW courtesy of Julia at Stamping Ground and sharing my desk.

Couldn't resist ordering the new BOW-WOB papers from Clarity.  They are the same thickness as the collage papers and you can add colour to them using inks.  Perfect for my #dailycollage2024.  I am still using the Hibiscus Infusions collage papers for this month as they are red/pink which matches my current colour palette.
I am making the most of my holiday.  I have been making samples and also enjoying recorder playing with two different groups.  Spent the morning with Mum yesterday before heading over to Lichfield for the U3a recorder meeting.  Last Saturday was the monthly get together with South Staffs. SRP (Society of Recorder Players).  Having plenty of lie ins so will probably be late linking up.
Happy WOYWW.
