WOYWW 734: Getting Closer

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks courtesy of WOYWW and Julia at Stamping Ground.  Please visit to find out more.

Unbelievably, the year is almost half over so I have been getting my second Seawhite journal ready for the rest of my #dailydrawing2023 challenge starting on Saturday.
My first journal will finish with Day 181.
Reports are done and dusted and including today there are only 11 more working days left this year.  Many of Y6 are out on their residential visit this week so Friday's lessons will look a bit different and I have picked up a couple of extra non-contacts so I can get assessments marked in school.  Busy working on leavers' cards for colleagues now.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Happy Anniversary!

I admit to shamelessly adapting the idea of Dee Paramour for this card. Hers was a thank you card but I needed one for our 33rd (amethyst) wedding anniversary.

WOYWW 733: 14 Work Days and Counting

Counting today I only have 14 more work days until the summer holidays and I must admit to being ready for them.  By the end of the week, all my report comments will have been transfered across and final data entered.  I will still have some departmental paperwork to complete but I will have broken the back of what needs to be done except for day to day teaching and marking of course.

My desk echoes Julia's from last week in that it shows some items that I purchased from Temu.  Just some cute stickers and papers in case I decide to go back to a daily journal page again next year.  Everything delivered for under £13 seemed like a good deal.
I am keeping up with my #dailydrawing2023 challenge to myself still.  It does at least guarentee that a little crafting takes place each day.
Don't forget to visit Julia at Stamping Ground to see more desks and find out more about WOYWW.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW everyone.

Personalised Wedding Card

I was recently asked to make a personalised wedding card.  This is what I came up with.

Attach one of the abstract layout stencils from Clarity Crafts to a piece of stencil card using low tack tape to create a hinge.
Blend Tattered Rose Distress Oxide through the apertures and add Saltwater Taffy Oxide round the edges.
Add the On your Wedding Day text corner around the stencilling, masking off the additional flourish at one end before inking with Nocturne Versafine Clair ink.
Trim down the topper close to the stamping.
Add the names of the bride and groom in the same ink as before using the Alphabet Word Chains.
Add the wedding bells and rings from the Wee Folk 6 Wedding stamp set into the centre in the same black ink.
To finish, mat onto black card, trim leaving a narrow border and add to the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank.

A Round up of Projects Using Stencils by Leonie Pujol

I thought I would bring together some projects using stencils designed by Leonie Pujol for Clarity Crafts.  Links to each project are below the pictures.

A mix of gel printing and doodling (see HERE).

Daily Drawing Update - Nearly Half Way

I am coming to the end of my Seawhite journal as I am already half way through my June #dailydrawing2023 challenge to myself.  Here is the latest update.

The prompts I am using for this month's drawings.
Having seen the following day's prompt I decided to link this one to it.
This sits on the opposite page to my previous drawing.
The last time I responded to this prompt I went with the rodent.
A quiet corner of a garden.
None of these on the pond though.
The right time of year for these!
I immediately thought of trees.
I drew trees the previous day so decided to go with a close up.
I copied the picture but didn't follow the tutorial (see HERE).
There's nothing like the smell of line dried linen.
'The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle'
Fairly straight forward.
It's been a hot few days now.
I hadn't come across this mammal before and had to look it up.
Keeping it simple.
