WOYWW 761: Happy New Year

Welcome to my first desk sharing of 2024.  Here's hoping that this year is better than the last.  Please visit Julia at Stamping Ground for more WOYWW fun.

My desk shows the latest ducks for my Star Trek collection - the Original series Kirk and Scotty.  Spock and Worf are on their way too then I will only need Deanna Troi and a Borg to finish the Next Generation collection.
Dad's memory cat sits on my shelf behind me looking over me.  I thought the shed was the best place to keep him as Dad always looked out for my blog posts and liked my work on FB.
As you can see I made it to the end of last year's challenge.  I have made a start on this year's too as my intention shows.
I have decided to theme my months by colour, so January will be mainly monotone in blacks and greys.
I am really looking forward to the crop now and also to a trip to London at Easter.  We will be seeing Lion King and Wicked and shall make the most of three nights away.  I can fit four months' pages into one ring bound loose leaf journal.
Wishing you all well for 2024.  We are having new windows fitted today and tomorrow so I may not manage to visit everyone until the weekend.  Happy WOWYW.

Final Round up of Daily Drawings for 2023

I have already made a start on my daily craft project for 2024: a daily collage piece.  Here is the final round up of my projects for 2023 - my daily drawings for the second half of December.

They got progressively more challenging towards the end of the month.

I kept things seasonal.
We are a cat family!
Another seasonal response.
I have been rewatching Glee so went with pom poms.
Keeping things simple before the difficult prompts kick in.
Seemed the most appropriate response for the time of year.
More like back to bed with the post term/Christmas head cold and sore throat!
Feeling more civilised today!
After seeing family for the day post Christmas.
Already making plans.
I have been really good this Christmas.
Everything in place for my #dailycollage2024.

WOYWW 760: Last of the Year

Welcome to my last WOYWW desk share of 2023 - I can't believe that it will be 2024 by next week!

I am starting to sort through my stash ready for my new collage challenge in 2024.  I shall not be afraid to let the white space in the background of the page show.
I have been rewatching Glee.
We will be seeing Mum for her birthday today as a family but enjoyed Christmas dinner with just the 5 of us at #1 and #2 sons' house as is becoming tradition.  We lit a candle to remember Dad.  I still have the rest of the memory cats to wrap up as my sister (a GP) is working today and won't get there until late.  The boys had theirs yesterday but the rest won't receive them until later so I will post pictures next week.
Hope you have chance to pop over to Stamping Ground and join in with Julia et al with WOYWW.  There is an exciting announcement for a crop in 2024 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the group.  The hall is booked!!!  Penkhull Village Hall, Trent Valley Road, Stoke on Trent, ST4 5JB.  We have it from 9am until 5pm so the crop will be starting between 9.30-10 and will have to finish by 4.30 at the latest to allow us time to clean and tidy.  Eva and I will be co-hosting and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
Happy New Year everyone.

WOYWW 759: Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all at Julia and all at WOYWW as we gather for our last desk share before Christmas at Stamping Ground.

My desk shows a virtual Christmas card to you all as I am donating to Air Ambulance in place of postage costs.
There are not that many more daily drawings to complete now and I have everything ready for a daily collage page in 2024.
Eva sends greetings to all too - we managed to fit in a crafty get together yesterday.
Only today and Friday in school now and then I am done for 2023 and return on 8th January.  Merry Christmas everyone and Happy WOYWW.

Nearly At the End: Daily Drawings for December so Far

I am over the hump for December with my daily drawings and counting down to the start of 2024 when I will be starting a new challenge - a daily collage.  Here are my drawings for the first half of December.

The prompts I am following - some rather challenging.

I went with a Zentangle pattern - Cadent.
I kept it PG and appropriate for the time of year.
A challenge to come up with!
An obvious response for me.
Another difficult one so I googled an image to copy.
Keeping things simple where I can.
The notes to Once In Royal David's City - usually the first verse is sung by a solo chorister.
I went for a Christmas star feel.
My last update will be on New Year's Day so I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
