WOYWW 761: Happy New Year

Welcome to my first desk sharing of 2024.  Here's hoping that this year is better than the last.  Please visit Julia at Stamping Ground for more WOYWW fun.

My desk shows the latest ducks for my Star Trek collection - the Original series Kirk and Scotty.  Spock and Worf are on their way too then I will only need Deanna Troi and a Borg to finish the Next Generation collection.
Dad's memory cat sits on my shelf behind me looking over me.  I thought the shed was the best place to keep him as Dad always looked out for my blog posts and liked my work on FB.
As you can see I made it to the end of last year's challenge.  I have made a start on this year's too as my intention shows.
I have decided to theme my months by colour, so January will be mainly monotone in blacks and greys.
I am really looking forward to the crop now and also to a trip to London at Easter.  We will be seeing Lion King and Wicked and shall make the most of three nights away.  I can fit four months' pages into one ring bound loose leaf journal.
Wishing you all well for 2024.  We are having new windows fitted today and tomorrow so I may not manage to visit everyone until the weekend.  Happy WOWYW.

Ah now the original Star Trek, now that I remember! What a great collection. Super memory cat. I've ended up keeping both the memory bears I had made from my son's primary school uniform, he was a bit non-plussed, but I love them so all's well in the end. Lovely to see the daily year challenge done well done you. I've started a January daily Junk Journal and pondering doing one every month now, we'll see... Been filling out my first papers for my pension. I am obliged to take a part when I turn 60yrs this year, so I guess I can officially say I am retired now. Loving your new daily challenge, last year of my current date stamp too. Good luck with the new windows. Hugs BJ#12

I can't help but wonder who is fitting your windows? Wonder if it is gthe same company that did ours. A Scottish firm getting a foothold in the North of England.
I am sure you will be amazed at how quickly they get the job done, hope there is not too much mess for you.
Happy New Year to you and yours, Neet xx 4

Love those ducks! Great drawings and collage. I like the idea of keeping to a them of colours. It might make choosing pieces easier - something that takes me ages. Happy New Year Angela #18

Hello, Sarah!

I am a die-hard trekkie and I never knew there was a duck collection. I am a TOS and DS9 devotee, while The Hubster is TNG and Enterprise! The ducks are cute!

Very nice drawings!

I think memory cat's location is perfect. Your duck Star Trek collection makes me smile so much, aren't they clever to manage to make them resemble the characters! Good luck with your collage challenge, it's looking good already from here! Lots of excitement about the Crop, thanks again, lots of us are enjoying the planning!
