An Arty Alphabet Tag

The latest challenge over on Tag Tuesday is Use Alphabet Letters.  A minimum of three are required so I used them to spell Art for a quick tag.  

Nutcracker On Kraft

For my final DT sample using the new Nutcracker stamp set from Clarity Crafts, I went with another combination I like, white and black on kraft card.  I also created a border using some of the worker stamps which come with the set.

Somebody tell me where 2024 went to please, I can't believe it is the first week of December already!

My desk shows some of the contents of the first Clarity Gray Day sale parcel which arrived last week.  I have two more on their way and snuck in a last order on Monday before the sale ended - such temptation with the bargains. 

I am not spending a great deal of time in the shed at the moment. The ethernet cable is kaput and it is on the cool side.  I still have plans to move into the house, but plastering, decorating and new flooring are required in the room I am moving into before I get that far.  Will be a priority next year though. 

As you can see, I have gone with a more festive theme and colour scheme for my #dailycollage2024 pages.

I treated myself to a preloved descant and treble recorder last week.  I spotted them on the SRP (Society of Recorder Players) FB page and went hunting for them on FB Marketplace.  Ordered on Tuesday and arrived last Wednesday while I was out at work.  They have a lovely tone but I need to play them in again as they had not been played for a while.  I have ordered a maintenance kit for them from the Early Music Shop.  They were an absolute bargain especially with the hard case and the seller threw in a piece of music as well!

A Rainbow of Ballet Dancers

I can never resist a rainbow theme and this ballet dancer stamp from the Nutcracker stamp set was perfect for it.

The Nutcracker

 The Nutcracker stamps from Clarity Crafts are perfect to make Christmas cards or for all year round for lovers of the ballet.  Here I showcased the title figure.

Gray Day Sale

 The Gray Day sale is in full swing over on the Clarity Website. There is up to 60% off most items except for recent releases and the die cutting machine.  As it kicked off on Monday afternoon with the Build a Scene stamps and masks I thought I would share a round up of my projects made with them.  As always, links to step by step projects appear below each photo.

My desk shows the goodies that arrived from Clarity yesterday ready to make some Advent calendars and Christmas cards.  I only ordered them on Thursday evening so they have arrived really quickly.  There is currently an up to 60% off Gray Day sale on their website  except for items that have been released recently.

I can't believe that it will be December by our next get together.  I will be going with a green, red and gold theme for my #dailycollage2024 pages. 

The snow all disappeared over the weekend with the rain.  Hoping and praying that no-one has been affected by the awful floods and Storm Burt.  No snow days last week despite the hopes of many of the students. The ethernet cable out to the shed seems to have been affected by the weather despite being an outdoor cable so I am currently without a stable internet connection out there as the wi-fi has a really weak signal out there.  I have taken to only going out there to craft and take photos and then coming back inside to post and blog.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

I was recently asked to make a card for someone recovering after a spell in hospital.  I used the Leafy stencils from Clarity Crafts but on a larger card for the group to sign.

Happy Birthday Stencilled Flowers

 I decided to work directly onto the front of a 7" x 7" white card blank using the September Clarity New Design Club stencil.  I did however use some of the project ideas from Dee Paramour.

Gone Fishing

I really like the September Clarity New Design Club stamp.  As it resembles water to me, I decided to combine it with the Gone Fishing stamp set by Sam Crowe. 

Abstract Layout 2: Time For Reflection

 For my second card using the gel print that I made with the Leafy and Woo-Wah stencils and the Abstract Layout 2 die, I used one of the co-ordinating collage papers in the background.  This time using a Christmas theme.

For my final DT sample using the Jayne's Floral Sampler stamps from Clarity Crafts, I went back to a Christmas theme but added layers to create a larger card using one stamp.

 I have been working my way through this year's Clarity New Design Club stencils.  I am determined to have used all of this years at least once by the end of 2024.  There are three/eleven I haven't got round to yet, but I have used ten/eleven of the stamps already.

This was the view from the shed window yesterday afternoon.  It started snowing on Monday before leaving work and we had a goodly amount by morning.  The roads were clear, though I was still happy not to have to go out in it.  I made sure the car was cleared off and the windscreen cover on ready for work this morning.

No meeting after work tonight as I have a different meeting this afternoon in Stafford.  Hoping the roads aren't too bad for driving.  Stay  safe and thanks for joining in with WOYWW.
