Nutcracker On Kraft

For my final DT sample using the new Nutcracker stamp set from Clarity Crafts, I went with another combination I like, white and black on kraft card.  I also created a border using some of the worker stamps which come with the set.

Die cut a topper from a 5” kraft card blank using the 5” nested circle diamonds and dots doodle frame-its frames and panels die and a mat from Clarity stencil card using the corresponding nested circle picot die.

Stamp the small pine branch around the edge of the topper 8 times in Jet Black Archival ink.  I used the border pattern to ensure even spacing.

Add the candy cane between each branch in the same ink.

Add the Nutcracker title into the centre as before.

Add the tree to the E and Clara to the U and T in the same manner.

Add the star to the tree in the same ink. Add the dress infill in white ink (White Clouds Colour Cloud ink) and deepen the colour using a white B1 Pergamano pencil.  Add colour to the candy canes, star and snow on the tree likewise.

Stamp the larger holly sprig into the corners of a 6” x 6” kraft card blank in the same black ink as previously used.

Colour in the same manner as before.

To finish, mat up the topper and add it to the front of the card.
