January Calendar Page

I decided to create my own art calendar this year using a 2025 calendar blank from Funky Fossil.  This is my January page.

I laid the large Clarity Treescape stencil over the top part of the calendar and masked off the top and bottom with low tack tape.  

Stormy Sky Distress ink was brushed over the top part of the stencil and Lost Shadow over the bottom part.

Next, I added the large Clarity moon mask and replaced the stencil.  This time I brushed Faded Jeans Distress ink over the top part of the stencil. The stencil and mask were removed and the tape replaced.

To paint the tress, I used Mudstone Artistry ink together with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide.  I used my glass mat as a palette and blended the colours together until I was happy.  The mix of dye based inks and oxides produces a lovely effect on the page.

Next I used a mix of Tumbled Glass Oxide, Picket Fence and water over the ground. The tape was then removed.

To finish, I added the stag from the Winter Wonderland stamp set from Clarity Crafts in Jet Black Archival ink.
