Doodle Discs: Ideas and Inspiration

I do like these Doodle Disc stamps and the coordinating framers which go with them.  I have gathered my projects using them together to give you some ideas and inspiration using them.  Links to the original projects are below each photo.

For all occasions including birthday (see HERE).

Furry Friends in Dies

I thought I'd bring my ideas for using the cat and dog aperture dies from Clarity together in one place as I haven't shared these for quite some time. Links to the projects can be found below each photo.

For the first card, I snipped all the cats and dogs from the dies and used them in a different way (see HERE for details).

Stencil Techniques

A blast from the past using different techniques with stencils.  I used the town stencils from Clarity and links to the step by step projects can be found beneath each photo.

Masking for colour and added stamping (see HERE).

London, New York, Paris!

I thought I'd bring all my ideas for using the City of London, Paris and New York stamps, stencils, masks and dies into one place.  By clicking on the links you will be taken to the step by step for each card.

The first one used the three way stamps and skyline mask for London (see HERE).

WOYWW 773: Arrangements Made

Still trying to stick to a routine although I haven't visited any desks recently. Paul's funeral will be on 15th April and arrangements are slowly being made.  We haven't finalised the Order of Service and visual tribute yet but we are working on them.

My Mum kindly made some crocheted hearts for us so when I went to make the funeral arrangements I left one in the pocket of his suit and have one each for myself, the boys and Paul's only brother.
Crafting a little each day has helped keep me on an even keel.  Back in January we cashed in our Christmas present from my sister for a meal and theatre show (Wicked) in London and I also bought some tickets for The Lion King.  Those tickets are for this evening and tomorrow.  Rather than waste the tickets my middle son is taking me down to London for a couple of nights and we are going to see the shows in Paul's honour.  My youngest will be going over to his uncle's, where he will be cat sitting over Easter too.  I went over to my recorder group in Lichfield yesterday too as I wanted some sense of normality.
Thanks again for all the love and support I have had from everyone.  Please visit Julia at Stamping Ground for more desks.

Wales

I used all the worker stamps which come with the Cymru stamp set from Clarity Crafts as well as the lovely frame to create this ode to Wales.

WOWYW 772: Over A Week On

Thank you for all the good wishes and cards which I have received.

These are just some of the cards.  Saw the registrar on Monday and have started filling in forms and making phone calls.  I will be seeing the Funeral Director tomorrow and taking clothes.  We have started going through photos and thinking about the Order of Service too.
I have been continuing my #dailycollage 2024 pages each day  as it is something which helps keep my head straight.  I may or may not get round to visiting desks this week but please visit Julia at Stamping Ground for my WOYWW link ups.

#dailycollage2024: March So Far

For March I went with blue as the theme colour for my #dailycollage2024.  Here are my pages so far.  This time I used the BOW-WOB papers as a background as they can be coloured with inks to match the theme and finished each page with one of the Clarity words stickers.

My husband passed away suddenly 8/3/24 in the afternoon.  Crafting, family and friends are helping to keep me on an even keel.

WOYWW: Sad News

Just a quick post today.  Some of you will have already heard but my husband passed away suddenly last Friday.

The boys and I have had such a lot of love and support from family, friends and colleagues.  The same funeral directors who took such great care of Dad will be looking after Paul too once he is released by the coroner.  The flowers arrived on Monday from Barb, Dave and the Clarity team.  I have been trying to keep to a routine at home but James is staying with his brothers as he understandably can't face being at home at the moment.  He was amazing on Friday, doing CPR, calling the ambulance and then phoning me once the paramedics took over (I had just arrived back at school from London).
Completing my #dailycollage2024 gives me a purpose at the start of each day and I will continue with my daily blogging as long as I have projects to share.  Thanks for all the messages I have already received.  Stay safe.
