To Travel is To Live

I decided to create a bespoke set of frames for these lovely landmark stamps from Clarity Crafts.
Trim a piece of teal card to 8” x 4”. Die cut a panel 0.5” from the left-hand edge using the 2” x 3” nested rectangle die.
Die cut two further panels using the same die at equal distances apart.
Die cut the centre from one of the offcuts using the 1” x 2” nested rectangle die to create a frame.
Lay the large panel onto the front of an 8” x 8” white card blank and mark the corner of the apertures.
Stamp the Statue of Liberty from the Famous Places stamp set into the centre aperture in Jet Black Archival ink.
Add the Elizabeth Tower and the leaning tower of Pisa into the outer apertures in the same ink.
Erase the pencil marks and add the frame to the front of the card.
Colour the images with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer water colour pencils scribbled on a Mix Mat and picked up with a watercolour brush pen. Start with the Statue of Liberty (#154, #153, #273).
Then the Elizabeth Tower (#189).
Then the leaning tower of Pisa (#270)
Colour the backgrounds in the same manner (#110).
Add a narrow strip of the teal card along the bottom of the card and trim the ends.
Add the small frame to the top of the card.
To finish, stamp the travel sentiment into the frame in the same ink as before.
