Butterfly Madness
Yesterday I showed you how I made various backgrounds using alcohol inks on Yupo card, pulling prints with Alcohol Lift ink and brayering/stamping. Today I will show you how I turned one of the backgrounds into a card.

Yupo Backgrounds and Ink Lift
It has been a while since I had a play with Yupo paper and alcohol inks, also with alcohol ink lift and stamping. I was reminded what fun it was by Eileen Godwin in a Facebook video so decided to have another go myself.

WOYWW 799/19: Having A Good week
Only one week until an auspicious celebration for WOYWW - 800 weeks of this crafty blog hop of desks. The brain child of Julia who has entrusted me with keeping things going after 15 years at the reins.
As it will be October by next week (where does the time go?), I have been sorting out stickers for my October #dailycollage2024 pages.I thought we could celebrate week 800 with a trip down memory lane and the first ever desk that each of us shared with WOYWW. I have only been joining in since August 2015 and I know there will be more of you who can go back much further than that. So please share your memories next week. I thought we would keep our ATC swap until the 16th anniversary next May (#832).
The BOW-WOB (Black on White - White on Black) papers can be coloured or left monochrome.I look forward to our trip down memory lane next week. Stay safe and thanks for joining in/visiting WOYWW.

A Tag : Numbers (More Than One)
The current prompt over on Tag Tuesday is Numbers (more than one) - I thought this was a good response.
Cut a tag from Clarity stencil card using the largest nested arch tag die.Blend Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide over the top half of the tag and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide over the bottom of the tag using foam tools.
Remove some of the colour using a damp paper towel through the A4 Dot Wave stencil from Claritystamp.Using the Alphabet and Numbers Word Chain stamp set, add numbers in Mermaid Lagoon and Cobalt Blue Archival inks.Tear a strip of white corrugated card, add it to the left hand side of the tag and shape the top to match the tag.Drag the Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide lightly over the corrugated card.Add Mermaid Lagoon Oxide around the edges of the corrugated card.Make an envelope out of a piece of scrap Yupo paper from a previous project (see HERE).Draw the template on the back. Fussy cut the envelope and score along the fold lines.Add narrow tape to stick the envelope together.Use tape to add the envelope to the tag.Stick down the flap.To finish, add three of Barbara’s word stickers.

WOYWW 798/18: Big Number Ahead
Only two weeks until this blog hop has been going for 800 weeks. I can't take the credit though - the idea for WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday) was dreamed up and organised by Julia for 15 years. I have been entrusted to keep things going for only 18 of those so far. Please visit the other desks linked below - they are far more interesting than mine. Feel free to join in yourself too by linking your blog.
I treated myself to a baren which is a tool for applying even pressure when printing. I use it for stamping with my Misti stamp platform or when pulling a gel print as it helps keep the pressure even. I have found it particularly useful when using large stamps. The 1st anniversary of Dad's funeral.I have been using Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide with the BOW-WOB papers for this month's pages.A belated Happy Anniversary to LLJ and G for last Wednesday - another mainstay of WOYWW, who is also to be thanked for keeping things going for so long.
I am finally back into the routine of things at school, and not quite so tired when I get in from work. T-108 work days and counting (at three days a week).
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. There wouldn't be a blog hop without all of you.

The #dailycollage2024 Continues
For September I have gone back to blue for my colour palette. I have been using some of the packaging as well as the BOW-WOB papers themselves to start each page and, as always, finish each one with one of the many choices of words stickers.
I love these birds stickers!
