This journal page was my last sample using Leonie's new collection of frameless shapes stencils. It is the one I like the most and it even made it as the header on Barbara Gray's blog!
I started by laying the Leonie's Bursts stencil onto a piece of Yupo paper. I then added various Alcohol inks to a felt pad and pounced through the stencil until the background was covered (Sail Boat Blue, Stream, Citrus, Botanical and Pool).
I sprayed the inky stencil with Isopropyl alcohol and laid it face down onto a piece of 7" x 7" Clarity stencil card. By running it through my embossing machine I achieved a lovely embossed print. I cut strips from the Yupo print and added them to the embossed print. Next I matted the piece (trimmed to 6.5" x 6.5") onto black card and added a couple of the Small Talk sentiment stickers (Tim Holtz idea-ology). A Quote Chip from his Halloween set finished the page. I love the contrast of the positive and negative images in one of my favourite colour combinations.
