This piece is one that I created at the recent Clarity retreats. I have used alcohol inks and a stencil on a gel plate before (see HERE), but this was a two part printing technique that was slightly different. Thanks Barbara Gray!

Up Above the Streets and Houses: A Rainbow Canvas
I made this canvas board as a sample for Claritystamp using some of Leonie's stencils, but it fits the March mini mission prompt over on Mission Inspiration: Up Above the Streets and Houses, Rainbow Flying High.

Alcohol ink through a Stencil on Yupo Paper
This journal page was my last sample using Leonie's new collection of frameless shapes stencils. It is the one I like the most and it even made it as the header on Barbara Gray's blog!

Adding Glass Slides to a Canvas
I recently played around with alcohol inks on microscope slides (see HERE). Several people suggested using wire wrapping as a way of adding them to a piece of work. I decided to use an 8" x 8" canvas board from Claritystamp. I have never done any wire wrapping before, so I made things up and experimented as I went along.

Yupo Space Background
This was made for the September challenge over on Mixed Media Art Journey. It gave me an opportunity to use part of a Yupo background that I'd already created.

Alcohol Ink Experiment on Microscope Slides and Yupo Paper
I found a box of glass microscope slides when cleaning out the garage recently and put them to one side in my craft shed. I decided to get them out yesterday and see what I could do with alcohol inks on them. I also ended up with a lovely Yupo paper background. I am not sure what I am going to do with them yet, but enjoyed experimenting.

Artist Trading Coins: A Gel Print Background
I can't seem to get enough of these Artist Trading Coins, thanks to Joanne at Craftyhodges having introduced this latest mini method of creating art. Once again the backgrounds have been created using alcohol ink through a stencil on a gelli plate (see HERE for original inspiration). I made a pair this time as you can see.

Alcohol Ink Gelli Background Tag: Nature
The background for this tag was created using a technique seen on YouTube demonstrated by Sally Lynn MacDonald (see HERE). I loved having a go at it and have ended up with some fabulous clean up sheets for further use as well.

WOYWW 434: So Excited!
On Saturday it will finally be time to meet up with many of our fellow deskers for the WOYWW crop in Llandudno; for more information visit the chief desker Julia over at the Stamping Ground, where far more desks than these may be visited. My crafty friend and I spent much of our weekly craft session discussing what we would be taking with us; how many bags would be required and whether we would actually get much crafting done or spend most of the time meeting, greeting and gossiping! I am really late linking up today even though this post was prepared yesterday; I seem to have a hundred things to do, so apologies in advance if I don't get to visit many desks this week.
My side of the desk shows the start of a journal page; the first layer is an alcohol ink background on glossy card. This was followed up with distress paint added with a natural sponge as the second step is to paint without a brush. Not long after the photo was taken I laid the page aside to dry naturally as step 4 was to create a resist with a gel medium (or in my case clear embossing paste) through a stencil. I will be sharing the finished page on Friday (if I get it finished) if anyone wants to see how it turns out.
My crafty friend was honing her Groovi skills by putting together her first complete 'picture' rather than just working on creating individual flowers.
We are both looking forward to the get together on Saturday and meeting as many of you as possible!
