Happy 50th Birthday

I turned the final sample I made using the Bijou Word Dangles stamps into a 50th birthday card and went with a black and gold theme.

In Memory

I dedicated the samples I made using the Loving Heart stamps to my late husband Paul. Here is the first.

Butterfly Birthday

I went back to using the new Abstract layout 4 die from Clarity Crafts for this card, but went with a butterfly theme and kraft card.

You're the Bee's Knees

For this card I just used the stamps which come with the Abstract Layout 4 die on their own and went with a bee theme.

A Bee Birthday Card

For this card, I used one of the loose leaf Infusions papers which go with the Abstract Layout 4 die from Clarity Crafts.

Bee Happy!

The latest installment of the Abstract Layout dies is here from Clarity Crafts and with it the Just Butterflies and Bees stamps. Here is my first card with the collection.

Well I made it through the first day back at work - just. Had a telephone consultation with occupational health yesterday - required for the cover insurance at school. Was glad for the day off and had a great time at my recorder group in the afternoon.

I have been making cards using the Barbara's Loving Heart stamp set from Clarity Crafts. I didn't get them posted in time for the craftalong but will send them in with my next lot of samples. The mojo comes and goes.

I am resolutely completing my #dailycollage2024 pages though.

Thanks for the responses I have had regarding the crop on 18th May. Eva and I assure you that the crop is definitely on. However it will make things easier if you all bring your own lunch and we only provide tea and coffee. There is a convenience store and a fish and chip shop across the road so there are plenty of places to get food on the day. Of course any cake donated to the cause will I am sure also be well received. As long as we cover the costs of the hall for the day we will not worry (£10-15) per person who is crafting depending on numbers. I am so looking forward to seeing you all and I know there will be many more there in spirit too.

Japanese Floral Happiness Crescent

Even though the stamped image is round, I decided to combine it with one of the square Doodle Frame-Its panel dies.

Happy Memories Furry Friends

I thought this card would be suitable for someone who has just lost one of their fur babies - hence the rainbow colour scheme.

I love how these Japanese Floral 2-way overlay stamps work so well on all types of card. Here I went with kraft card.

Bijou Dangle Birthday Star

I added one of the Word Chain stamps to the Birthday Bijou Dangle stamps to create this bright and cheerful card.

Bijou Dangle Friends

These Dangle word stamps from Clarity Crafts have been available in a larger size for some time but have now been released in their bijou form. Here is the first card I made with the Friends set.

Find Joy in the Simple Things

I used some of my favourite archival ink colours to create this card using one of the Japanese Floral 2-way overlay panel stamp sets from Clarity Crafts.

WOYWW 776: Saying Our Goodbyes

On Monday we said our good-byes to Paul at a packed service. It went so well and was a beautiful way to remember him.

The flowers are from the spray which was on the coffin. There is another larger vase in the house full too and I am pressing two of the roses. Thank you again for all the love and support which came our way. The wake was also a celebration of his life.

Some days I am only managing my #dailycollage2024 but I am also trying to keep up with my crafting. I am looking forward to the crop on May 18th and just need to start firming up numbers to see how much it will cost each of us and whether we will be catering or asking you to bring your own lunches to reduce costs. I shall be going into work on Friday to catch up with where the students are with the work ready to go back next Monday. Stay safe everyone and Happy WOYWW.

April: My Collage Journey So Far

For April I have chosen a brown/sepia palette for my #dailycollage2024 journey. I have been using the Darjeeling Infusions collage papers from Clarity Crafts and finishing each page as usual with one of their words stickers.

Strength!

It is my husband's funeral today. This card reflects what I need today for my boys.

WOYWW 775: Less Than A Week To Go

I finally have everything ready for the funeral next Monday. #2 son has prepared a visual tribute using the photos from the order of service and set to Heartbeat which was Paul's favourite TV show.

My desk shows some of the photos which were uploaded and used.

Still keeping up with the #dailycollage2024. I am glad I managed to visit all the desks last week. I shall try to do the same this week as it helps keep me grounded. I have had some lovely cards from my WOYWW family.
