WOYWW 776: Saying Our Goodbyes

On Monday we said our good-byes to Paul at a packed service.  It went so well and was a beautiful way to remember him.

The flowers are from the spray which was on the coffin.  There is another larger vase in the house full too and I am pressing two of the roses.  Thank you again for all the love and support which came our way.  The wake was also a celebration of his life.
Some days I am only managing my #dailycollage2024 but I am also trying to keep up with my crafting.  I am looking forward to the crop on May 18th and just need to start firming up numbers to see how much it will cost each of us and whether we will be catering or asking you to bring your own lunches to reduce costs.  I shall be going into work on Friday to catch up with where the students are with the work ready to go back next Monday.  Stay safe everyone and Happy WOYWW.

Oh Sarah I have been thinking of you and your family. The flowers are beautiful. One day at a time and don't be afraid to reach out when you need some reassurance and help. Adjustments are really hard at any given moment.
Your daily collage's have been so unique. Big Hugs and Best Wishes for the days ahead.

So glad all your planning went well on Monday and you got to celebrate your husband's life in the way you wanted. Was thinking of you.
I can see where you are coming from with wanting to continue with the Crop, but if it becomes too much nearer the time please feel free to cancel, we will all understand.
In the meantime your daily collages are lovely and seem to follow a theme other than colour to me.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx

Hi, Sarah. Sending you a big hug. Only just found about your sad news when I saw your post on Facebook today. I am so sorry for your loss. As I haven't been blogging since the end of last year, I didn't know about the Crop either. I am unable to travel at the moment due to business commitments. Much love, Ali xx

I'm really looking forward to the Crop too but fully understand if you need to cancel. One of the things we do when we have our party at the club is everyone brings something to share and we make a list of who's bringing what and we usually end up with a good variety maybe something like that would make it easier for you on the day. Take care. Sending woyww hugs Angela x11x

We’d understand, too, if you felt it too much for you and wanted to cancel. Xx

Hi Sarah, I am glad all went well Monday. Unfortunately I am unable to go to the crop. We shall be too far away, we will be in the 3rd week of our holiday I think. Sending love. Angela #7

I'm so pleased that Monday was a good day, it will be so beneficial to have it as a solid good memory in the times to come. As for the crop, we're onside with you pulling the plug if you can't face it for any reason, but for reasons of accommodation bookings and time off work for travellers, I regret that a decision would have to be made sooner rather than nearer the time. Meanwhile, keep on and if you cant, please reach out, we're all here for you.

Good to hear that all went well on Monday, and you were able to celebrate Paul's life with family and friends. I am planning to come to the crop but obviously would understand if you didn't feel able. Shout out if you need anything. Love n hugs Cindyxx

I'm really pleased it all went to plan on Monday and Paul was remembered with fondness, so special. The freesias on your desk are super, my favourite of all cut flowers for their scent. Lovely to see the daily journal is still ongoing too. Big Hugs BJ#4

Hi Sarah. I'm coming in REALLY late but bringing lots of love, hugs and prayers. I can't even imagine.
And through it all, you're still creating. I guess it's your place to let things go and just be. I get that.

Hugs & Blessings! ~ Kelly #17 (under my author account)
