WOYWW 801/21: What Fabulous Memories

What a fabulous celebration of friendship and memories last week for WOYWW.  It was brilliant that so many of you joined in, including the originator of the idea, Julia who got things started and entrusted me to carry on after 15 years.  So if you would like to show what is on your desk and link in you will be heartily welcome to What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

I have been thinking ahead to next year and my next daily project.  Thought I'd give watercolour a go as I certainly have plenty of supplies.  I will definitely keep things small though - maybe a splodge one day and then doodle over with a micron pen the next day.
I think this month's #dailycollage2024 pages are my favourite colour combination so far.

I have a parents' evening after school today so will have to finish visits tomorrow morning.  The plumber should be coming to fit a new thermostat to the boiler tomorrow so then I will have heating again as well as hot water.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

Four Seasons of Tags

The latest prompt over on Tag Tuesday is Seasons and I thought I would share a tag for each one.

Using the largest Nested Arch Tag die, cut four tags from Amazonia, Indian Summer and Antarctica designer card.
Stamp the #2 infill stamp from the 3-way Treescapes set onto the Antarctica card in Versafine ink. Heat emboss with white embossing powder heating from below.
Stamp the #2 infill stamp from the 3-way Treescapes set onto one of the pieces of the Amazonia card in Acorn Versafine Clair ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder heating from below.
Stamp the #2 infill stamp from the 3-way Treescapes set onto the Indian Summer card in Acorn Versafine Clair ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder heating from below.
Stamp the #2 infill stamp onto the other piece of Amazonia card in Acorn Versafine Clair ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder heating from below.
Add the appropriate season name below each Treescape in the same way as the trees.

Add drop shadows to the treescape stamps using a white Posca pen (Spring, Summer and Autumn and a brown micron pen (Winter).

To finish, add ribbon through the top of each tag.

WOYWW 800/20: Celebrations and Memories

Welcome to the celebration of 800 weeks of sharing desks, visiting fellow crafters and an amazing group of friends.  All started by Julia over 15 years ago and for the last 20 weeks only, handed over to may care.

I am sharing the first ever view of my desk back in week #325 thanks to my sister-in-law Pat putting me onto the group.  I was a bit of a sporadic visitor back then, but have been ever present since week #423.  What a fabulous group of people I have come to know since joining.  Some only virtually, but many in person thanks to the crops which take place most years.  I am planning to organise one for the 16th anniversary in May next year at the same place we held it for the 15th anniversary.  I am really looking forward to reading all your memories of WOYWW as I am well aware that there are people who have been joining in for much longer than I have.
A couple of people asked about the BOW-WOB papers and colouring them.  As you can see they are originally black and white and can be coloured by inks and Oxides.
As you can see, for October I am going with autumnal colours for my #dailycollage2024 pages.

Sorry I was so late visiting last week - I had a real problem getting my laptop to connect to the internet on Wednesday then was slammed the rest of the week.  It's a good job I set up and schedule my posts on a Tuesday!  Happy WOYWW friends - old and new.

The End of September: #dailycollage2024 Pages

We are already beginning October and I have now filled three of my ring bound journals with #dailycollage2024 pages.  Here is a round up of the second half of September using the wonderful Clarity BOW-WOB papers coloured with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide and finished with a words sticker from one of 6 Clarity collections.

I am going with autumnal colours for October!
