WOYWW 725: Pluses and Minuses

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks with WOYWW thanks to Julia at Stamping Ground.

My desk shows the pile of Y8 assessment papers that I have brought home to mark.  Normally I would get all marking done at school but as the only day that I have a chance to mark is Monday and the next two are bank holidays I am focussing on getting books marked at work and bringing the easier to carry marking home.
The daily drawings continue.  This week has seen plenty of recorder playing for me as both Saturday and yesterday were afternoons with two different groups that I play with.
Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

A Year in Stamps: Project Round Up for Clarity NDC 2016

I have brought all my projects together using the Clarity New Design Club stamps from 2016 that I have used.  As usual, some have not yet been used and others have been used a great deal.

All Heart: Tags and Cards

I thought I would bring together some of my projects involving hearts; both cards and tags.  The links to the individual projects are below each picture.

Summer Tag

The latest challenge over on Tag Tuesday is anything goes.  I had been hoarding a piece of gelli plate clean up paper which made the perfect background for this tag.

I added the clean up sheet to a #8 manilla tag (to view original project see HERE).  It was sealed with matte medium, dried and trimmed.
On a separate sheet of card, I stamped the sailing boat stamp from the Boating Rounds set from Clarity Crafts in Majestic Blue Versafine ink.  It was heat embossed with clear EP, then coloured in using my Royal Talens Ecoline pens.
Once fussy cut, the image was added to the tag.  I sealed the water colouring using Distress Glaze then used the Cobalt Green big brush marker (Faber-Castell) to add shading.

After shading.
The NDC Summer stamp (#117) from Clarity was added directly onto the tag (same method as the previous stamping) and coloured in using the same big brush marker.
One of the Tim Holtz Small Talk stickers completed the piece.

WOYWW 724: Workshops are Back

Welcome to my weekly desk share with the wonderful Julia and my friends at WOYWW.

My desk shows the pile of projects that need finishing off, following the first face to face workshop with Maria Moorhouse in Shrewsbury in over three years which Eva and I went to on Sunday.  It was so good to catch up with everyone and we already have the dates for the next four classes.  I can't wait.

As you can see the daily drawings continue even though the holidays are now over.  Two bank holidays between now and half term will be good though.  I am having to plan my marking carefully as I would normally get everything marked on a Monday.
Stay safe everyone and Happy WOYWW.

A Year of Clarity Club Stamps 2015

I have been reminiscing over the projects I have made using the Clarity New Design Club stamps from 2015.  I didn't use them all but have had plenty of use out of several which are my go to stamps.

Daily Drawings Update for April

Already halfway through April and my #dailydrawing2023 challenge to myself is still going strong.

As usual I found a prompt list online.
I do like tortilla chips and dips.
We see these regularly in our garden.
More of a cartoon.

Another pair of similar drawings.
Typical Spring weather.
A different swing than last month.
Spot the error - I misread trip for tap.
A quick and easy response.
'Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree.' The only way I could think of doing it in black and white lol.
It was that or a chocolate bar lol.
I thought a postage stamp was a bit obvious.
All natural, nothing man-made.
A funny face.
My glasses case.
