Spring Tag with Oxide Background

The current theme over on Tag Tuesday is Spring Colours: Yellow/Green so I decided to take it literally.

I started with Mustard Seed and Crushed Olive smooshed on a blending mat and spritzed with water. I dragged a couple of tags through them and dried.
Added a layer of Crushed Olive on its own.
Brought in a layer of Mowed Lawn.
Another layer of Crushed Olive.
I finished by blending over with Mustard Seed, spritzing and drying as before.

I then played with the Daisy & Friends stamp and stencil set from Clarity Crafts.  The outline image was stamped in Library Green Archival ink and the background stamp overlaid using several shades of green.  Using a stamp platform allowed me to ink up the edges of the background stamp in Emerald Archival ink to add interest.  The flower fill stamp was inked up first in Buttercup, then green was added at the bottom to the leaves, again using a stamp platform to allow the build up of multiple colours.  Once dry, the image was die cut with one of the  nesting circle dies, leaving a white border.

Having chosen one of the green and yellow tags, I stamped the Spring stamp (Claritystamp NDC back issue 113) in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat embossed it with detail clear embossing powder.
The floral topper was then added.
To finish, I used a white Amsterdam acrylic marker to fill in the Spring lettering.
