Gray Day Sale

 The Gray Day sale is in full swing over on the Clarity Website. There is up to 60% off most items except for recent releases and the die cutting machine.  As it kicked off on Monday afternoon with the Build a Scene stamps and masks I thought I would share a round up of my projects made with them.  As always, links to step by step projects appear below each photo.

My desk shows the goodies that arrived from Clarity yesterday ready to make some Advent calendars and Christmas cards.  I only ordered them on Thursday evening so they have arrived really quickly.  There is currently an up to 60% off Gray Day sale on their website  except for items that have been released recently.

I can't believe that it will be December by our next get together.  I will be going with a green, red and gold theme for my #dailycollage2024 pages. 

The snow all disappeared over the weekend with the rain.  Hoping and praying that no-one has been affected by the awful floods and Storm Burt.  No snow days last week despite the hopes of many of the students. The ethernet cable out to the shed seems to have been affected by the weather despite being an outdoor cable so I am currently without a stable internet connection out there as the wi-fi has a really weak signal out there.  I have taken to only going out there to craft and take photos and then coming back inside to post and blog.  Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.

I was recently asked to make a card for someone recovering after a spell in hospital.  I used the Leafy stencils from Clarity Crafts but on a larger card for the group to sign.

Happy Birthday Stencilled Flowers

 I decided to work directly onto the front of a 7" x 7" white card blank using the September Clarity New Design Club stencil.  I did however use some of the project ideas from Dee Paramour.

Gone Fishing

I really like the September Clarity New Design Club stamp.  As it resembles water to me, I decided to combine it with the Gone Fishing stamp set by Sam Crowe. 

Abstract Layout 2: Time For Reflection

 For my second card using the gel print that I made with the Leafy and Woo-Wah stencils and the Abstract Layout 2 die, I used one of the co-ordinating collage papers in the background.  This time using a Christmas theme.

For my final DT sample using the Jayne's Floral Sampler stamps from Clarity Crafts, I went back to a Christmas theme but added layers to create a larger card using one stamp.

 I have been working my way through this year's Clarity New Design Club stencils.  I am determined to have used all of this years at least once by the end of 2024.  There are three/eleven I haven't got round to yet, but I have used ten/eleven of the stamps already.

This was the view from the shed window yesterday afternoon.  It started snowing on Monday before leaving work and we had a goodly amount by morning.  The roads were clear, though I was still happy not to have to go out in it.  I made sure the car was cleared off and the windscreen cover on ready for work this morning.

No meeting after work tonight as I have a different meeting this afternoon in Stafford.  Hoping the roads aren't too bad for driving.  Stay  safe and thanks for joining in with WOYWW.

 This time I used four of the Jayne's Floral Sampler stamps from Clarity Crafts on a larger kraft card. 

Ribbon Framed Christmas Notelets

These lovely Sampler stamps based on Jayne Nestorenko's Floral designs are perfect for all sizes of card and for all occasions.  Here I used two of the more Christmas oriented designs to create some notelets with a ribbon frame.

A card using a Gel Print

 I decided to use the gel print that I made in Friday's blog post (see HERE) to create a card using the Abstract Layout 2 die from Clarity Crafts.

November #dailycollage2024 Pages Part One

For my November #dailycollage2024 pages I decided to go with a black and red colour palette as it is Remembrance month. I have also stamped poppies onto some of the pages using various stamps from Clarity Crafts.  Each page starts with BOW-WOB (Black On White - White On Black) collage papers and is finished off with one of the Clarity words stickers.

I also used some of the Clarity Doodle/Frame-its dies.

Gel Print Fun

Barbara Gray can explain the process of this gel print in her video far better than I can so the link to watch is HERE.  Especially as I was so caught up that I forgot to take a photograph of the first step!

WOYWW 806/26: Half Year Anniversary

Welcome to the weekly sharing of desks that is WOYWW.  The inspiration of Julia who led us for the first 15 years, and now entrusted to me.  I am thinking ahead to the 16th Anniversary next May and will be looking into booking either the 10th or (preferably for me) the 17th May for a crop where we celebrated last year (here in Stoke on Trent).  Please let me know whether you are interested so I gauge numbers before I put down a deposit.

I am still sorting papers into storage folders as you can see from my desk.  I like to have two of each pad so I don't run out lol.

Remembrance Sunday

Sorry I was late visiting last week - I got to work to find I had a two hour session after school rather than the usual one.  I was too pooped by the time I got in to do anything but eat and go to bed.  I will try and visit most of you today this week.

 I loved Dee Paramour's Project which came with the Clarity New Design Club stencil in August this year.  I decided to have a go at recreating it.

 I finally got round to playing with my August Clarity New Design Club stamp.  I thought I would team it up with the Savannah Treescape stamps and masks.

WOYWW 805/25: Nearly Half A Year

 Welcome to the weekly blog hop and sharing of desks that is WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday); started by Julia nearly 15 and a half years ago and entrusted to me after the fifteenth anniversary.  I can't believe that next week I will have been hosting for 6 months!

This is a view to the side of my work area.  I was sorting Clarity papers ready to go into yet more of the storage folders.  I have another 4 on the way which will take my total to 16 so far.  You can see the glass mat that Eva works at when she visits.

As you can see, the theme colours for my #dailycollage2024 pages for November are black and red.

Today is the first day back for me with students after half term, as Monday was an INSET (In Service Training) day at work.  90 working days until retirement next summer.
