I finally got round to playing with my August Clarity New Design Club stamp. I thought I would team it up with the Savannah Treescape stamps and masks.
Trim a piece of Clarity stencil card to 4" x 6" and stamp the elephants (NDC #214) at the bottom in Hickory Smoke Distress Archival ink.
Create a mask for the elephants from Clarity mask blanks and mask them up.
Add the mask elements from the Savannah Treescape set to the topper except the bottom one.
Blend Fossilized Amber Distress ink along the bottom with a foam tool.
Remove the next mask up and replace the bottom one, blend Dried Marigold and Mustard Seed Distress inks trough the gap in the same manner.
Repeat with the next section in Mustard Seed ink only.
Remove the moon mask and add Mustard Seed and Wild Honey inks through the aperture, this time using Clarity stencil brushes.
Replace all the masks and remove the sky section. Blend Stormy Sky Distress ink across the remaining section of topper using a mix of brush and foam tool.
Remove all the masking except the elephant mask.
Add one of the trees from the Savannah Treescape stamp set in Jet Black Archival ink.
Add the sentiment and bird in the same way.
Remove the mask and colour the elephants in shades of Cool Grey Polychromos. Add shading below the elephants using #186. Blend with Dorso oil and a Pergamano blending pen and nib.
To finish, mat onto black card and trim leaving a narrow border. Add to the front of a 5" x 7" white card blank.
