Gel Print Fun

Barbara Gray can explain the process of this gel print in her video far better than I can so the link to watch is HERE.  Especially as I was so caught up that I forgot to take a photograph of the first step!

Brayer Phthalo Blue paint from a craft mat onto the 6"x6" gel plate mounted on a mega mount.  Add the leaf inners from one of the leafy stencils, make marks with punchinello, a rubber non slip mat and bubble wrap.  Allow to dry thoroughly then remove the leaf stencils and remove the wet paint from underneath by pulling a print.
Then add a layer of orange paint in the same way as before.  This time add some of the Woo Wah circle stencils as well as leaves from a different leafy stencil.  Make further marks and allow to dry thoroughly.
Pull a print when the stencil pieces are removed.
To finish, add a thin layer of buff titanium paint as before and pull a final print immediately to remove all the paint from the gel plate.
I think I lifted too much paint in the centre of the plate on my previous pull as the paint layer wasn't quite dry enough before I lifted the stencils.
