Mini Gel Plate Background on a Get Well Soon Card

This is my final sample for the new Garden sets of stamps and masks by Barbara Gray and Claritystamp.  I used the Rose Wall set for this card and tried something different in the background.

I started by stamping the wall onto a piece of Clarity 7"x7" stencil card in Ground Espresso Distress Oxide.

I added the mask to the wall and stamped the roses from the same set in Frayed Burlap Oxide.

I then continued masking the walls and adding further stamping until the roses were surrounded by a wall.

Next, I added Golden Turmeric Artistry ink to the circle Gel Press Petite and stamped it over the left hand side of the 'hole in the wall'.

I painted the walls using a water brush and more of the Ground Espresso Oxide.

I added Golden Turmeric ink to the roses and Avocado ink to the leaves and stems using a water brush and my glass mat as a palette.

I decided to go back and finish painting the remaining parts of the wall as well as adding further Golden Turmeric to the roses within the printed area.

I added Get Well Soon from mini word chains 15&16 along the top in Acorn archival ink and Sending You Hugs from the same stamp set along the bottom of the wall.

The topper was trimmed back and added to a 7" x 5" dark brown card blank made from a piece of A4 card.
