Butterfly Madness

Yesterday I showed you how I made various backgrounds using alcohol inks on Yupo card, pulling prints with Alcohol Lift ink and brayering/stamping.  Today I will show you how I turned one of the backgrounds into a card.

I trimmed the stamped image using the A5 Spots and Dots Grunge Texture stamp to 4.75" x 6.5".

Next I added stamping in Sepia Archival ink using the smallest stamp in the same stamp set used in the background.

I then added first and second generation stamping with the same stamp in Red Carnation Archival ink.

Next I added one of the quotes from set 2 of the Clarity Quotes stamps in Ground Espresso Archival ink.

Finally, I added the two largest butterflies from the Butterfly Tree stamp set in the same ink.

I blended Vintage Photo Distress ink round the outside of the topper before matting onto Amazonia companion paper and trimming, leaving a narrow border.

The topper was added to the front of a 7" x 7" white card blank.

To finish, a third butterfly from the Butterfly Tree stamp set was added in Red Carnation archival ink.
