Father's Day Cards

I made similar Father's Day cards for my Dad and Husband this year.

 

Die cut toppers from Clarity stencil card using the 5.5”x 4.5” nested ovals die and mats from black card using the corresponding picot die.

Lay the A4 Abstract squares stencil over the oval toppers and blend Salvaged Patina and Uncharted Mariner Distress inks through the apertures.

Add stencilling down the left-hand side of two 7” x 7” white card blanks in the same manner.

Add ‘Happy’ to each of the toppers in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink, using Word Chains 2.

Add Fathers in the same ink using the block print alphabet – add an apostrophe with a black fine liner.

Using the ‘Birthday’ stamp from Word Chains 3, mask off the beginning of the word before inking and add ‘Day’ to the bottom of each topper as before.

Add the father and son stamp from Wee Folk 1 to the bottom of one topper in the same black ink as before. Add the small girl from Wee Folk 2 onto the other in the same way.

To finish, mat up the toppers and add them to the front of the cards.
