I used one of the older Clarity New Design Club stencils with a more recent stamp release to create this birthday card for our youngest son last month.
Attach Clarity Club stencil #25 to a piece of stencil card.Add turquoise acrylic paint to a 6” x 6” gel plate and blend with a brayer. Add the paint to the card through the stencil.Pull a second print using the ink remaining on the gel plate. Trim the first print to 5” x 5” and die cut a mat from black paper using the corresponding nested square picot die.Add one of Barbara’s Linocut Sampler stamps to a small piece of stencil card in Black Soot Distress Archival ink. Die cut the topper using the second smallest nested square die and a mat from black paper using the second smallest nested square film strip doodle frame-its frames & panels die. Mat up the topper.Add the topper to the print.Using the Word Chains stamps, add Happy (#2) Birthday (#3) Son (#27) to the print in the same black ink as before. To finish, mat up the topper and add it to the front of a 6”x 6” white card blank.
