Create-A-Butterfly

I had a play with the Linocut Alliums stamp set from Claritystamp and created my own butterfly!

Die cut a topper from Clarity stencil card using the 5.5” nested squares die.

Add clouds all over the topper in Tumbled Glass Distress ink using the Clarity Cloud mask and a stencil brush. Move the mask down the topper and blend the ink upwards.

Stamp the smaller solid leaf shape from the Alliums linocut flower stamp set onto the clouds in Charming Pink Versafine Clair ink. Add a little Purple Delight Versafine Clair ink around the edge of the same stamp for further detail (use a stamp platform).

Add a second wing below in the same way, using the longer solid leaf shape.

Add the body to the butterfly in Purple Delight ink, using the smallest line stamp.

Add antennae using a black Posca pen.

Add sentiments in Nocturne Versafine ink, using stamps from the Leonie’s Words stickers set.

To finish, add the topper to a 6” x 6” black card blank.
