Happy New You

For my second sample using the Calligraphy Girls I made use of the BOW-WOB papers again but this time to create a frame.

Take a small piece of stencil card. Die cut a mat from Rainbow River companion paper using the corresponding nested square picot die.

Create a frame from a BOW-WOB paper from set 2 using the 5” and 6” nested square dies. Add to the front of a 6” x 6” black card blank.

Add one of Barb’s SHAC Calligraphy Girls to the small piece of Clarity stencil card in Jet Black Archival ink.

Add the ‘Happy New You’ sentiment to the topper in the same ink.

Add Peeled Paint Distress ink to a glass mat, pick it up with a watercolour brush pen and add it to the hat and dress. Add a touch to the sentiment too.

Go round the edges with a black Sharpie pen and mat up the topper.

To finish, add the topper to the front of the card.
