Bijou Retro Birthday Candles

Once again I went with a kraft card look to go with these Bijou Retro stamps from Clarity Crafts.

Stamping directly onto the front of a 7” x 7” kraft card blank, add the circle panel from Tina’s Bijou Retro stamps into two corners in Jet Black Archival ink (I used a stamp platform and turned the card leaving the stamp in place).

Turn the stamp 90 degrees and add again next to the first images.

Continue along the top and bottom of the card in the same way.

Clean off the stamp and mask off a section with low tack tape. Remove the masking after inking up to complete the border.

Cut a 5” x 5” kraft card blank in half to create a topper and die cut a mat from Clarity stencil card using the third largest nested square picot die.

Stamp the Birthday candle cluster into the centre in Versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Create a border along the bottom with the top part of the gift stamp in Jet Black archival ink.

Add the bottom of the gift along the top in the same ink.

Add stamping along the sides in the same ink using a border stamp from the same set.

Add colour to the candles using a blue Faber-Castell Polychromo pencil (#144).

To finish, mat up the topper and add it to the card.
