Carpe Diem Tartan Background

I got so carried away making this card creating the tartan background that I forgot to take photos of all of the stages.

Die cut a topper from Clarity stencil card using the third largest nested square film strip doodle frame-its panel die. Leave the die in place. Die cut a mat from black card using the corresponding nested square picot die.

Lay the square plaid A4 square stencil over the topper and hold in place using low tack tape. Blend Mustard Seed Distress ink through the apertures with a Clarity stencil brush. Clean and move the stencil. This time blend Salty Ocean Distress ink through the apertures as before. Remove the stencil and die.

Add the butterfly girl and Carpe Diem from Ani’s Fly Away Collection in Jet Black archival ink.

To finish, mat up the topper and add it to the front of a 6” x 6” white card blank.
