A Gothic Journal Page

This page was created for the July challenge on Mixed Media Art Journey, however, as it also fits the current Gothic challenge over on JJAMMMA (Junk Journals and Mindful Mixed Media Art), I am also entering it there.
The six prompts in no particular order were: Make a spread, add cut out, add ribbon, use orange, use something recycled and song lyrics.  I created the double page spread using red, yellow and orange while at the JJAMMMA meet up on Tuesday.  I used an old season ticket card to scrape Amsterdam acrylic paints over two pages in my Strathmore Visual Journal.
For something recycled, I used a piece of deli paper that had been used to clean up my fingers and scrapers from a previous project.  I used the largest die in the City Skyline set by Sue Wilson/Creative Expressions three times to cut a continuous sky line.
This was cut into two and added along the bottom of each page.  Once sealed with distress collage medium it was dried and trimmed.
As a second cut out, I used the flying raven from the Ravens and Feathers set (Sizzix / Tim Holtz) cut from a scrap of black card.  I found some black ribbons and added them to the tail to fit the song lyrics (and the ribbon prompt) that I had found to use.
As you can see, I made some adjustments once the raven had been added to the page.
I printed a section of the lyrics from The Flag by Barenaked Ladies using my Dymo Letratag, trimmed them and added them to the right hand page.
Once dry, I went round each of the text blocks with my black Sakura Everyday micron pen.
