Gift Jar for Christmas Fair

Staff were asked to fill a jar and add a tag for a stall at the Christmas fair.  I had previously made some mini Christmas gift tags and envelopes (see HERE), but had to make a tag and find a jar with a wide enough neck to hold the cards.  One of my Y5 French pupils ended up with my jar which I was really pleased about.

Halloween Tag Bookmark

The current prompt over on Tag Tuesday is Autumn/Halloween.  As I have just made an autumn tag for another challenge,  I decided to go with Halloween for this one.  I also had a new stamp that I wanted to use!

Servalan: A Tribute Journal Page

The September prompt over on Nina Ribena's Art Journal Prompts and More is Art Journal Frenzy.  The additional prompt for the first week was 'Galaxy'.  I created this page as a tribute to the character of Servalan in Blake's 7, played by the fabulous Jacqueline Pearce who died earlier this month.  Blake's 7 was one of my favourite TV series as a teenager and Servalan was always my favourite character.  I had the good fortune to have a chance to meet Jacqueline Pearce in person at the 20th anniversary convention back in 1998; she was very generous of her time and I still treasure a signed photograph.

There's No Place Like Home

This tag was made ready for sharing on the last day of the school visit to Berlin.  It seems apt as we are flying home today and I'm sure there will be lots of stories to share about the week's experiences.  Today also marks a milestone for my blog which is nearly three years old.  I have posted once a day since returning from Berlin last year, so today marks an uninterrupted year of sharing and crafting!

Rise & Shine: Journal Tag

Here's another post that I prepared in advance to share while I'm in Berlin on a school trip.  I figured that lack of sleep might well be starting to kick in by this point of the week and decided to motivate myself to keep going!

Blending Experiment

I wanted to try out my new Pergamano blending pen and nibs to see how they would work with my Faber-Castell Big Brush Markers.  They are fabulous for fine detail and I discovered an unexpected bonus.
