Halloween Tag With A Twist!

After another day out of the shed yesterday, I wanted to come up with something quick to share and cut down on my mop up sheet pile; this tag fit the bill.  The new Tim Holtz idea-ology Ancestors paper dolls pack that arrived yesterday morning also came in useful!

I seem to have an endless supply of #8 manilla tags, having bulk bought a pack of 250, so it was easy to decide on the format of today's very quick piece of art work.  I have started to keep paper towel mop up sheets which look interesting and found a sheet that I had stamped on to clean some Tim Holtz stamps.  The world map comes from the Documented stamp set and the script from the Ledger Script set.  I peeled off the top layer of the paper towel and glued it onto the tag using Distress Matte Collage Medium.  Once dry I tore around the edges and then used a file to neaten things up.
Unfortunately I over wet the top right corner and it rubbed away so I added some distress crayon in Twisted Citron and Fossilized Amber around the edges of the tag.
I was originally going to use the new raven stamps by Tim Holtz as a focal point, to go with the world map stamping in the background, but as the new set of paper dolls (Ancestors) by Tim Holtz arrived in the post yesterday morning, I went with the 'witches' as I could imagine them flying around the world on their brooms!  Once they had been glued in place, sealed with Matte Medium  and dried, I used Faber-Castell Big Brush markers to blend Dark Chrome Yellow and Dark Naples Ochre around the images and Caput Mortuum below and to the left to anchor the images.  It only remained to add a sentiment from the Small Talk sticker set by Tim Holtz to finish the tag off.
