This tag was created for the September Mini Mission for Mission Inspiration: Fearless. I always complete the mini missions on a mini surface i.e. a #8 manilla tag.
The first step was to glue the top layer of a paper towel mop up sheet in Autumn colours to a #8 manilla tag; seal it with Matte Distress Collage Medium; dry thoroughly and clean off the edges with a nail file.
I die cut the Sizzix Thinlits Spider Web designed by Tim Holtz in black card and added it to the top of the tag, trimming the excess once dry.
I had fallen in love with the Pumpkinhead stamps (designed by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous) when they were first announced. I chose three and stamped them in Jet Black Archival ink onto mixed media card. I then coloured them with Ecoline pens in Light Orange, Deep Orange and Burnt Sienna before fussy cutting them. They were added to the bottom of the tag, sealed with matte medium and then Sanguine and Caput Mortuum Big Brush Markers (Faber-Castell) were used to add shading all round and shadows below.
I then happened upon a 'trick or treat' flat backed button which my sister had donated to my stash (thanks sis) and which fit perfectly with the theme.
The final step was to print out 'BE FEARLESS' in the large font using my Dymo Letratag, trim round the quote block and add it to the tag.
