Carpe Diem: A Quick Sky Background
A super speedy tag to share today as I am setting off very early with my crafty friend to make it to Llandudno by 10am for the WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday) annual crop.
The background as you might suspect was created with a mop up sheet with only one shade of blue ink: Midnight Blue Artistry ink. It was what was left over after creating a previous background; I simply spritzed the blending mat with water and laid the non shiny side of the light greaseproof paper over it to mop up. This time to be different I added two layers to the tag using Distress Collage Medium; sealing, drying and trimming after adding each one.

Both layers. |
As you can see, this created a very effective and interesting 'sky'. I then added the little girl and the sentiment from the Carpe Diem stamp set by Claritystamp using Cobalt Blue Archival ink; adding a dropped shadow using a white opaque Sharpie pen.
