WOYWW 559: Enjoying a Break from Work

I am thoroughly enjoying my half term even though we are not going away anywhere.  Crafting, catching up on TV, meeting up with friends and the occasional day out are just the ticket.
As you can see, we started the week with a trip to IKEA and I finally sorted out all my DVD stamp storage.  I may well end up getting a second unit at some point when I buy more DVD storage cases and transfer some more of my stamps into them, but for now, I am happy to have finished labelling all the spines of the cases for ease of finding.
I can't really share anything on my desk today as I am in the throes of sample making, however I can share the sneak peeks of the ones I made for this evening's ODS with Maria Moorhouse.
I shall be blogging the first one in full tomorrow if you'd like to pop back.
Hubby is off work for the rest of the week now, so I may not get round to visiting everyone until the weekend depending on what we decide to do each day.   There are plenty more desks/artistic spaces to explore if you visit the Stamping Ground, where Julia holds the keys to this long time blog hop What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW).  Happy WOYWW everyone.

the only way half term benefits me is space on the bus to work and getting a seat... but enjoy your well deserved rest! the storage looks great, well done for getting that so sorted. Love the sneak peaks! Helen #1

Love a good sort out-do you think it’s a teacher thing? Hope you have some days out in your break. We were going to brave IKEA in Glasgow today but neither if us can be bothered!!

I am the same - on half term - no plans. So tired! Hopefully, pottering around and being creative will be enough to rejuvenate ready for re exam yr 11 stress.
Love the storage and ikea. Enjoy your week off xx

Ooh the labeling looks fabulous Sarah, I need to do that to the things I am whittling down that will remain in cases when its over. I still have a lot of open 10 boxes thing digging for the right one. :) ( I'd go get the second book case soon, just because I know my self and my stamps breed in the dark at night lol) ;)

Hi Sarah, do tell me where you get your DVD cases. I've been looking for ones that are suitable for stamp storage but so far had no luck. I love your new DVD shelving too. My stamps are in such a mess I need to do something soon for sure. Hope you and your hubby have a fun week - with rather better weather than we're having here at the moment. Hugs, Elizabeth x #22

Hi Sarah, now that is what I call organised stamp storage! I've still not fully settled on how to store my stamps - and then I forget what I have! Enjoy the rest of your half term break. Have a lovely week Heather xx #26

Bliss for you - a week off work. No marking? At this time of year I was busy with mocks or assignments, I think but maybe that was ore like Easter. You just enjoy the time spent with hubby and get out if the weather is kind enough to you both.
Love the storage is that a Billy? If I had a space on my floor I could do with one of those but honestly my room is so tiny I just cannot fit one in, I need to have a declutter and make some space - like dried up Gesso which I found I had the other week!!!
Hugs, Neet 10 xx

When I worked always said my ideal holiday would be to stay at home alone and send the family away but they had to come back with all clothes washed etc.
It never happened! Enjoy your week at home I am sure you will not be bored! Ani #7

I love the splashes of red in your craft room! The DVD storage looks like it's going well, I did that years ago with mine but have graduated on to different storage solutions. We always hope the one we are using at the present is the final one, but sometimes that just isn't the case. You seem to be very happy with the DVD cases!
I love the Birds of a Feather card! Is that a die? A stamp? a stencil? I think it's a stencil...Thanks for your visit, and have a great week, Lindart #24

Great new stamp storage, Sarah. Enjoy your half-term break! You teachers deserve all the rest you can get. Nice to have time off and not to be going away, so you can potter about and do what you like for a few days! Your sneak peeks are very interesting and I love the "Birds of a Feather" die cut. Thank you for your visit - my appointment today went very well and was very interesting - I'll blog about it next week. The gesso experiments are going well and I'm very pleased with the way the Tombows work on it - I'm working on some colouring, and so far so good! My hubby finished re-defending the garden and the kitties have been out - briefly - they aren't too keen on the awful weather, being so coddled and spoilt! They are very happy cuddled up together indoors.

Happy belated WOYWW,
