I created these tags using Clarity new design stamp and stencil club products for the February tag swap over on Junk Journals and Mindful Mixed Media Art (JJAMMMA). The theme was springtime.
Using the Clarity New Design Club #155 silhouette flower stamp, create backgrounds on two #8 manilla tags with Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, Cracked Pistachio, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides.
Add further stamping in the same colours of Oxide, this time using the NDC #99 solid daisy stamp.
Stamp NDC #89 the Edelweiss stamp onto one tag in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Repeat on the second tag using the NDC #115 carnation stamp.
Colour the flowers with Inktense pencils and blend with a watercolour brush pen.
Add ‘Spring’ (NDC #113) to one tag and ‘Time for Something New’ (NDC #100) onto the second tag in Onyx Black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
Colour the lettering as the flowers.
Knock back a little colour by lightly pouncing white acrylic paint through the NDSC #46 leaf stencil.
To finish, use a soft pencil to edge the leaves.
