Texture Stamp Background

A large background can be created from smaller stamps by repeat stamping and overlaying images.  I enjoyed building up an A5 background using Distress oxides and one of the new Chinese Lanterns Mixed Impressions texture stamps from Claritystamp.
Trim a piece of large Clarity stencil card to 20cm x 13.8cm. Add Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge and fossilized Amber Distress Oxides to the A7 Chinese Lanterns Mixed Impressions stamp with foam tools and stamp onto the card in the top left corner.
Re-ink and re stamp in the top right corner.
Continue in this manner until the background is complete.
Using the second largest nested oval picot die, cut a topper from black card. Mask off ‘hip’ at the end of friendship (Word Chains 8) and ink up the stamp in Versamark ink. Remove the masking and add friends to the topper. Heat emboss in detail copper embossing powder. Add forever from the same stamp set as before.
Add the smallest Chinese Lantern Mixed Impression stamp at the bottom of the oval in the same way.
Add copper embossing to the corners of the background using the same stamp.
Mat onto black card (20.5cm x 14.3cm) and add the panel to the front of an A5 white card blank.
Add the oval topper to the front of the card.
To finish, add a couple of Barbara’s word stickers above and below the topper.
