Pastel Chinese Lanterns

Barbara Gray and Paul Church will be demonstrating these beautiful new stamps (and Groovi plates) today at 11am and 2pm.  I had such fun playing with them.  I deliberately decided to go for a pastel rather than natural look with this card.

Trim a piece of large Clarity stencil card to 20cm x 13.8cm. Add Lavender Dash Artistry ink to a blending mat, blend out with a brayer and use the brayer to add ink to the large Chinese Lanterns Mixed Impressions stamp. Stamp the image onto the card.
Add Barbara’s Chinese Lantern Floral Spray stamp over the top in Shadow Grey Archival ink.
Colour the image using watercolour pencils, blended out with a small watercolour brush pen.
Add a drop shadow using a light grey watercolour pencil, blended out in the same way.
Using the two largest nested oval picot dies, cut a frame from black card and add it round the floral spray.
Add two of Barbara’s word stickers above and below the frame.
To finish, mat onto black card (20.5cm x 14.3cm) and add the panel to the front of an A5 white card blank.
