Coloured Background but Uncoloured Focal Point

I decided to bring the stamp to the front of this card using masking fluid and creating a darker background.  I deliberately left the main image uncoloured to stand out against the background.
Stamp the fish from Cherry Green’s Seas the Day stamp set onto a piece of Clarity stencil card in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat emboss in detail clear powder.
Add the flourish into each corner in the same manner to frame the fish. Trim back to 6.5” x 6.5”.
Use Pebeo masking fluid to mask off the fish. Allow to dry.
Add Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide spray to the background and dry.
Repeat with Mermaid Lagoon Oxide spray.
Repeat with Peacock Feathers Oxide spray.
Finally, add a little more Tumbled Glass Oxide spray, spritz the background with a little water and dab off with a paper towel. Allow to dry thoroughly.
Remove the masking fluid. Touch up around the fish with a Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide pad using a Pergamano blending pen and nib.
Add the ‘Seas the Day’ sentiment in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat emboss with clear powder.
Add highlights to the flourishes with a white gel pen.
To finish, mat the stencil card onto black paper (6.75” x 6.75”) and add to the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank.
