My Best Friend Gatefold Card

For my second sample with the recent Claritystamp one day special,  I combined the dog quarterette dies with one of the larger ones and some designer paper to create this gatefold card.

Score the front and back of a 6” x 6” white card blank in half and fold to create a gatefold blank.

Cut a 5” x 5” black card blank in half and die cut the My Best Friend aperture die in the centre of one half of the card.

Using the 5.25” nested square picot die, cut a mat from a piece of the Toffee Apple designer paper.

Cut a further mat from black card using the 5.5” nested square die. Mat the layers together.

Add this inside the card blank to cover the pre scored line.

Cut the Best Friends quarterette dies from black card, cut them out of the card using the 2” nested square die and snip into the images.

Cut mats from the same Toffee Apple paper as before using the 2.25” nested square picot die and further mats from black card using the 2.5” nested square die. Mat the layers together.

Add two of the toppers to either side of the front of the card.

To finish the front of the card, add Amazing and Life from Barbara’s word stickers. 

To finish the inside of the card, add the lady walking a dog stamp from Wee Folk 1 on the left flap in Onyx Black Versafine ink and the Maya Angelou never forget verse on the right flap in the same ink.
