WOYWW 558: Happy Valentine's Day

I don't have any art to show on my desk today as you will see later so I thought I'd share one of my previous projects.  This Valentine took less than an hour (plus drying time) to make, but I still think it's lovely.
Stamp four of Sam Crowe’s ‘Don’t be such a square’ stamps across the front of a 5” x 5” black card blank in Versamark ink and heat emboss in detail gold powder.
Add Cherry enamel accents to the inside of the heart and allow to dry.
To finish, add a couple of Barbara’s word stickers.

As you can see my desk has nothing but marking on it.  I am trying to get everything done ready to enjoy a proper break next week at half term.
I had a day off from everything yesterday as I am suffering from a cough and cold and decided to have a day's total rest while I didn't have to work.  I have alredy marked one set of papers this morning and should get the rest done before I have to leave for work.  More to cross off my to do list.  Happy WOYWW everyone.  You can join in and see more desks at The Stamping Ground.  I'll be round to visit in the morning.

So glad those days are behind me - marking was always a job I put off as long as I could, unless it was for the following week's lesson. Guess I am talking of the GCSE projects here. Roll on half term for you!
Hope the cold does not linger, remember, rest and plenty of fluids.
What a striking card, love the gold against the black - reminds me I must use my ep's before too long.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx

Thanks Sarah, It’s great and weird all at the same time to see people using my designs. You did well to get that little heart a different colour with embossing powder! Xx

A simple design but one that gets the message over really well - I'd much rather give that than the overly fussy!

What a lovely card! As "make a Valentine's card" is on my to-do list for this afternoon, I'm shamelessly on the look out for inspiration on other people's workdesks. Gold lines on black with a red heart highlight...my mind is already ticking over. Hope the cold clears up quickly!

The card is lovely - I find it so hard to make cards for my hubby that aren't flowery and girly! Hope your cold clears up quickly so you can enjoy half term to the max.
Have a great week,

Bet you're ready for half term. I'm not surprised you're suffering from a cold. I used to get loads when I was teaching and hardly get any now, children are so infectious! Hope you're feeling better soon. Wishing you a happy and creative woyww, Angela x16x

Hi Sarah, that's a lovely card - I don't have those stamps, but will definitely see if I have anything similar as it is very effective, and looks well within my capabilities (famous last words). Hope you feel better from your cold soon. Have a lovely week, hugs Heather xx #33

Sorry I’m late! I hope your one day of relax has done the trick, honestly, teaching should carry a health warning shouldn’t it, all the bug exposure you get! Those stickers are great aren’t they, I have some on my wish list for when I crash and fall from my stash diet!

I love the Valentine card, Sarah! Especially that juicy red heart! It's really stylish. Sorry you've got a cold and are so busy with school work. Not fun. Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you like my offerings this week - the colouring is fun! I hope you have a lovely visit from Grandkitty Jess (I love the idea of a grandkitty - so cute!). Lily and Ruby send purrs to you and Jess. They were abandoned today as we were out all day but very happy to see us on our return.

Happy belated WOYWW,

I absolutely LOVE your Valentines card! Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most striking. Glad you got some rest for your cold, too often we plow though illnesses and end up in worse shape. Thanks for your visit and kind words, Lindart #29
