As we approach the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War, I decided to use friendship and peace as a theme for my tag for the Flags/Bunting challenge over on Tag Tuesday.
I started by covering a #8 manilla tag with a piece of scrap paper from my bit box. I didn't seal the surface, but dried and trimmed the paper. I laid the Town Stencil from Claritystamp over the top and blended Acorn Archival ink through it. I had a left over piece of paper from the Indian Summer paper pad (Claritystamp) in my bit box and used it to cut out four lengths of bunting, using the Joycrafts banner die. These were added to the tag and the excess trimmed.
Next, I added white highlights to the bunting and drop shadows to the houses using a fine, white Posca pen.
Four word stickers from the Chit Chat sticker book by Tim Holtz finished the tag. To tie them into the background, I added a scribble border in an orange/brown Triplus fine liner pen.
